Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I ordered a Whataburger Meal #1 with only cheese, a completely plain burger. Unfortunately, this is now the second time this location has gotten my order wrong. Even though the sandwich had special request stickers and the employee, Virginia, verbally repeated my order correctly the second time over the intercom, the receipt still showed pickles, extra ketchup, mustard, and cheese. As a result, my burger was not what I ordered at all. I even asked before pulling off (but should have checked the burger and didn't due to the business of the line, and that was my mistake). It’s really disappointing to spend $13 on a meal you can’t eat, especially when the mistake was not on my end. I also wasn’t willing to drive another 10 minutes back to the store and wait yet another 10 minutes in the drive-thru or go inside just to have my order corrected. Accuracy matters, especially when customers are clear and orders are confirmed verbally.
