- AAAdventureDave2 days ago5.0Although this place gets high reviews, I was a surprised. Incredibly good, and very unexpected for a chain that’s inside of a grocery store (HEB). (Blasphemy, I know) I’m no BBQ connoisseur, but this was some of the best BBQ I’ve had. I ordered a combo platter. Fatty Brisket - juicy and just the right amount of salt. Ribs - Meaty, sweet and crispy glaze, cooked just right that almost fell off the bone. Sausages - flavorful with a little spice. Beans - Not your traditional bbq molasses beans. These are like a mix of liquified refried and whole beans with bits of pork. Super yummy. Coleslaw- Sunflower seeds and cranberries (this was a first attempt a BBQ restaurant), and cabbage with a mild neutral sauce. Good, but missing something. I’d highly recommend. Very fast and courteous service. Atmosphere is typical of any bbq restaurant.

The cornbread was a little overcooked, but the Mac and cheese was creamy full of flavor. The sandwiches were excellent! Pricing was very reasonable and we received our order timely! Would definitely do again!

As a self proclaimed BBQ snob ( I come from BBQ family of champions with many hindereds of tropbies to prove this ) this is easy choice for me to keep coming back here ! I will continue to highly recommend this True TX BBQ location as a standout in the many choices for excellent BBQ ! This is a real and true Texas BBQ experience with the flavors !
