This isn’t my closest heb but I’ll drive the extra miles out to this one. I’ve never consistently had friendly cashiers at an heb except for this one. As someone who usually hates shopping in person, I’m happy to encounter this location.

I've been going to this HEB for five years on a weekly basis with no issues, however I'm noticing a trend with the cash register lines that has been a new and growing source of disappointment.
First, let's commend anyone wearing a red HEB shirt because they're the real heroes of the store. However, the trend of people in black shirts standing around in groups and doing nothing prompted me to finally write a review about it. My cashier (a cool guy donning suspenders, a thick beard, and serves a wealth of dad jokes) was doing the best he could but there was no one to help bag the groceries and we ended up doing it all on our own while a growing line formed behind me. There were two other cashiers open (shout out to another hard working cashier I see all the time - Caleb(?)), and I know the group of supervisors saw the lines getting longer, but they did not seem interested in jumping in to help the customers nor their red shirted team members. Perhaps they were clumped in their group in order to discuss how to manage the growing lines or some other issue, but if this is the case then they were taking their sweet time figuring it out and laughing loud enough to indicate it wasn't work related.
This is usually not a big deal, but this HEB was once extremely efficient and now it seems to be on the decline. I want to make sure not to lump one of the other managers who was very helpful a few months ago (Daniel(?)) with the group of guys I saw today, last week, and a couple times before that. It must be said again that this is not usually a big deal, but I feel like I continually see the same hardworking people carrying the store while the management stands around without any purpose and ignores the shoppers. It's just disrespectful to customers and employees, but if that's going to continue to happen at least swap the salaries to reflect the work.
More hard workers include (really hope this isn't offensive) tall woman with gray hair, cheerful woman often working the bulk aisle and knows her energy bars, young man using sign language, male bagger with dark hair, male cashier with long hair and fabulous nails, older man working the produce area, most of the bakery employees, and everyone at the deli department. Sorry, I don't know names, but the point is that these people should earn recognition. And management money.

Still a great place to get good food at decent prices but the last few times the customer service has been not great. Not sure what changed recently but it makes me want to go straight to self check out rather than deal with the attitude from some of the checkers. I may even start going to another location on the way home from work if it keeps happening.

Buyers be aware!!
Hello,
I would like to share a concern about my experience at your store today, which I found quite frustrating.
I requested a 2-pound bag of shrimp. The packaging clearly indicates that it contains 2 pounds; however, the employee weighed the product and charged me for 2.335 pounds. I understand that the product being frozen may affect the weight, or there could have been an issue with the scale, but I believe I should have been charged based on the labeled weight.
When I questioned this, the employee became visibly upset and raised his voice. I then asked to speak with a manager, and he informed me that he was the manager of that department. I requested to speak with the store manager, who came over but ultimately stated that the employee was correct.
I left the store feeling disappointed, both with the pricing discrepancy and how the situation was handled. I would appreciate it if this matter could be reviewed.
Never heard back from customer service!!!
Thank you for your time.
