Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

    It’s crazy to call this fast food, cuz it takes 20 minutes everytime I come here. Doesn’t matter if you’re a pick up order, drive thru, dine in. 20 minutes. Every. Single. Time.

    We went to get some chicken strips meals and asked for extra gravy but none of the 3 meals we bought had it. But the service was great. Nathan was at the register and they had the whataburger special cups. Unfortunately, the cups we wanted had ran out. To accommodate us, Nathan went out of his way and gave us 2 free cups of another image since we had just missed out because the customer in front of us had gotten the last cups we wanted. We didn't mind paying for the new 2 cups but he stated that it was a gift for us for being loyal customers and for not having enough of the cups we wanted. Thank you Nathan for making us feel important and not just like dollars signs. If only the food would had been served as requested we would had giving it 5 stars, but then again it was our fault also for not checking at that time and discovered the discrepancies when we arrived at UT Austin to eat!

    Stay clear of this whataburger! So I ordered breakfast at 10:20am through the app, went through the drive through, they verified my order, and told me to wait im the outside drive through lane, I saw them give everyone else their order except me, then when there was no one in the drive through and I got part of my order and was missing an iced coffee I waited longer and saw them give a new person who came through the drive through their order , finally I went inside told them I had been waiting 40 minutes. Some of the staff apologized but nothing was offered like a free drink or upside on my coffee, I had to push for it. A woman manager came around and said that she would give me my coffee but I had to get back in my car because "I made her anxious". I didn't want to go back in my car and have them forget me again so I waited and got my large coffee. I try to avoid this whataburger because you never know when you are going to wait a long time for fast food and then some of the people look at you weird for wanting your food on time, almost like its ok at this whataburger. So the main thing is I want to be treated with respect and to have order out in a reasonable time. The efficiency, and customer service is really lacking when compared to other whataburgers, so please go to another Whataburger if you can.

    Late at night this location gets really busy. You'll frequently be asked to pull forwards in your car and wait while they bring the food out. Some people seem to get annoyed about this, but it actually does keep the line moving a lot better than just waiting. Our food was good, nothing missing from the bag
