Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Most HEBs that offer hot soup keep their hot soup available until 8 PM. I came once at 6:45 pm and it was already gone. It would make even more sense to keep it out longer during the winter months but they do not.

However, the most frustrating thing for me is that when I pay extra for a slice of cheese and they failed to put it on my burger. All I want is a cheeseburger and then I get all the way back to my office and I can’t leave cause you’re at work. Also, at first I asked if I could upgrade the fries to onion rings that cost more and she said no you have to get fries and I said can you ask a manager because if I’m paying more why shouldn’t I be able to do that. They did give me onion rings, but either way most frustrating thing about my experience with the missing cheese that I paid for.
