I been going here quite a bit recently, it’s on my way home from errands and I like this place because it closes at 11pm while all other grocery stores close at 10p. So just in case you need or forgot something, it’s a good option.
I like to browse. Some prices here ok and reasonable, some not, but that’s normal. You definitely need to sign up for their rewards (free). It enables you to get most of the deals they have. I find nowadays they want you to buy more - like buy 2 and get this free - or buy 3 for a deal - but I am single and I do not need 3 bags of chips or 3 cases of Coke Cherry Zero.
I do like to browse the delicatessen and baked goods area as you can find some good BOGO deals. I saw Clyde’s Glazed Donuts - never had but the staff said it was popular, it was BOGO so went for it and omg they were superb. Crush Krispy. Went back a few days later but all gone yet scored some of their donut holes BOGO, just as good.
I also like the Lucerne dairy brand here which I find is reasonably priced and the quality is respectable. I always get their sliced cheeses. I also got a great deal on Deli bagels - 4 for $1.99 and they were great. On Mondays they do a fried chicken special at the deli, 8 pieces for $10. I think it used to be $8. Their habanero honey baked chicken is very good, so is their fried chicken.
Service here has always been very friendly. Forgot her name - a nice petite curly blonde girl that usually works the self checkout - she is always very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We also started to share dietary health food tips on occasion when I run into her. Like the apple cider vinegar craze - a couple of teaspoons daily does have benefits. I believe it helps curb appetite but recently read it helps clean out unnecessary bacteria. I add it to my Metamucil every morning. But then she also got me onto those Clyde Donuts validating that they are popular and sell quickly. Gee whiz thank you so much. But as we all know in the end it’s about moderation.

This Review is Specific to the Butcher Counter.
We normally shop at Randalls for one reason: the meat and dairy deals. Their chicken and steak sales are hard to beat, and every now and then they’ll surprise you with great prices on cheese and eggs too. So trust me, we want to keep this as one of our regular stops.
But every time we head toward the butcher counter, I have to mentally brace myself like I’m stepping into an emotional Dodgeball game, because you never quite know what kind of vibe you’re about to run into.
I’m giving an extra star purely because of one guy who used to work the counter (younger white guy, beanie, beard). He was always friendly, remembered us because we buy a ton of chicken, and made the whole experience easy. Pretty sure he moved away, because we haven’t seen him in quite sometime.
Since then it's been rough. Particularly when David is at the counter. He’s helped us several times, and more often than not he acts like we’re interrupting something important just by ordering meat. The mood often feels so heavy you could cut through it, if only he applied that same skill to packaging the chicken. Theres probably been one time when he had a slight smirk on his face, when I asked how the prime rib holiday meal was (I wasn't getting chicken this time), guess he's cool with answering a question.
We're pretty regular on our purchase of 10lbs of boneless, skinless chicken breast. Key word: skinless. Yet multiple times he’s packed obvious pieces of skin right into the bag. I’ve even watched him grab the chicken, see the skin hanging off, and still throw it in. Once I complained and the store manager discounted it because it was that noticeable (that also designates the extra star). Another time I got home, opened the bag, and what so I see... chicken skin. And honestly it only ever happens when he’s the one helping.
I can imagine that the big chicken sales probably make the day overwhelming, but that is the job. And as a customer, I shouldn’t have to feel like I’m walking on eggshells (or paying for extra weight in chicken skin).
At this point I genuinely don’t know if the sale prices are worth the stress. Maybe. Maybe not. But at least now, the experience is documented and maybe this will make its way back to Randalls not to butcher the butcher, but to slice out some of the issues and bring back the consistency we used to count on.

Order pickup experience was really poor. First, they text me at 6 AM saying that something was out and asked what flavor I wanted a replacement on. I selected a flavor - that flavor never made it to my order. Then, They shorted me on meat weight and then still charged me. I had to walk in to have it corrected. I walk to customer service and am totally ignored. I politely wait and the lady standing there doesn’t acknowledge me then when I ask she says “I’m not on the clock”. Then finally a “customer service rep” comes out and is also dismissive and just says I’ll call the grocery fulfillment. The shopper was irritated immediately and told me they didn’t have the right weight and that I would be charged an extra pound because had they only had two packages of steak. At this point I’m like it’s fine I’ll pay up. Then I remind customer service that I was already overcharged for the shorted steaks. Ultimately the shopper comes back with the second package and Which is now a pound over and she tells me to just take it because “ it would be too difficult for her to deal with”. So I appreciated the gesture but I just felt like they were all so irritated when this was not my mistake and I just want my steaks.
I wonder if Randall’s is not treating their employees fairly and this is why they are grumpy and rude. Randall’s should do better to keep their employees happy. Like accepting tips for shoppers.
