We go to Pappadeaux venues often and I do mean OFTEN. I am leaving this review because this is the second time my husband and I have visited this specific location and have been left very underwhelmed to put it kindly. It isn't over the food, but the complete lack of service. We always sit at the bar, and multiple times we have been left kind of on our own. Last week our tab was close to $500 despite our bartender paying very little attention to us, this week we waited 30 minutes to simply get menus. It took me asking for a manager to have someone behind the bar ask if we needed anything. I enlightened management this week and they offered us a gift card. We have since discovered the other location over on Research Blvd where we were IMMEDIATELY offered menus and drinks and just wonderful service overall. We will not be coming back to this location.

Great atmosphere and great parking. I had the Mississippi Blackened with shrimp Etouffee. My fish was way too salty, the dirty rice tasted funny and Etouffee was
disappointing. My roots are in Louisiana and I know how this supposed to taste! I got to sample someone’s Seafood platter and it was yummy!! Should have gotten that. Will do at my next visit.

Came in to be seated and they tried seating us near the to-go door with my newborn baby with the cold draft coming in everytime someone opens it, conscientious decision would be to place us in a warm out of the way spot with a newborn, but I knew they wouldn’t and would try to seat us there. Definitely should have trusted inner gut feeling and left once I knew they weren’t being attentive or accommodating. I understand zoning with serving and how servers have tables assigned that way but didn’t seem like they thought to put us in one of the 20 other booths not in use away from the door that were open and shift the booth system for that zone accordingly. Ended up leaving to go to the one on Research Blvd. where they actually payed attention and made sure we were sat in a good spot with the baby.

My first time here, with some friends and I ended up having to leave my car in their parking lot overnight due to some unforeseen circumstances, and the next morning before i could pick it up i called the restaurant and wanted to let them know id be by to pick it up, and an associate named Bri answered, and was so nice and was nice enough to even go out and make sure my car was still there and safe so i can have peace of mind, so Bri or Bree, thank you!

I’m extremely disappointed in Pappadeaux’s handling of a recent situation involving one of their employees. Instead of standing by their staff member after that employee spoke up about experiencing homophobia from a patron, the company chose to terminate the employee.
Hospitality should include protecting your team from discrimination. When businesses fail to support employees who speak out against homophobic behavior, it sends a troubling message about whose comfort matters more.
Creating an inclusive environment isn’t just about marketing — it’s about how leadership responds when bias actually shows up. In this case, the response appears to prioritize avoiding controversy over protecting staff from mistreatment.
Until Pappadeaux demonstrates a clear commitment to standing against discrimination and supporting its employees, I can’t in good conscience recommend supporting this business.
