Best feature is it's location and proximity to downtown. The amount of car traffic is fairly high, but similar to other busy HEBs, however since this one has a parking garage you need to be more careful when parking. The shopping level is on the uppermost floor, which requires the bascarts to use a specialty escalator, which is a little slower. Also these escalators require an employee to stand at every one to put the carts in and out. Maybe it's necessary but from a customer's perspective it seems like the employees would present more value by being cashiers. Like other stores, they have many self checkouts which I am not a fan of. They also don't offer free plastic bags, i'm guessing that this is a City of Austin rule since they do offer them in Cedar Park. They have a nice patio on level 2, accessed through the BBQ restaurant. They also have a bagel type shop on level 1. There is a bathroom on the ground floor in the corner near the Pharmacy. Has a drive through (ground floor in the garage) or walk-in Pharmacy.

Home delivery is poor. I am concerned about poor quality and occasional damaged items. There appears to be an algorithm that is used to increase prices on certain items that I order frequently. Availability of many items that can be purchased in the store or picked up curbside are not options for home delivery. Being unable to carry groceries from my car into my home, I am dependent on home delivery to shop for groceries. Favor drivers do not always read directions I have written. Coupons which I clip are often ignored and I have to call customer service each week to get my bill corrected. When I call customer service, the representatives are usually helpful, but the time it takes to resolve issues seems excessively long. When I used to be able to shop in the store itself I did not experience these problems and feel they are unique to home delivery. PS: After posting my review I was contacted by email and asked to call H-E-B customer support regarding my review. As a courtesy, I called the number that I was asked to call in the email. Unfortunately, no one seemed to know anything about how to handle my return phone call. I was put on hold several times and told (by a recorded message)that there would be an extra long wait time. It seems counter to their own interest that I if I was doing what H-E-B requested regarding my review that they would not expedite or facilitate my contacting them. I do find this somewhat strange, as they were the ones who requested that I call them.

H-E-B is hands-down one of my favorite grocery stores — the amount of choices they offer is incredible. From fresh produce and ready-to-eat meals to specialty items and local favorites, there’s always something great to pick from no matter what you’re shopping for. The prices are excellent, too — affordable without skimping on quality. It makes grocery shopping actually enjoyable. I seriously wish we had H-E-B in California — it would be my go-to store every week. Five stars all the way! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Came to buy seafood at 9am, for the holidays and I was told by Mike the seafood associate that it was closed and to wait 10min. He proceed to say that the frozen shrimp was the same. I needed fresh so I waited. Came back to find out how rude this person Mike was as he kept ignoring me when I came back. I escalated to Management, Joe, who took my complain and ensure to address the case. Joe also confirmed that seafood should be open by 7am. By the way, Mike looked drunk, or possibly hungover.
