This is unfortunately not the first time I’ve had a negative experience at the HEB on 7th Street. As a former HEB partner, I understand store policies and customer service expectations, which makes this experience especially very disappointing. While using self-checkout, I realized I had forgotten a reusable bag and was attempting to explain the situation while using my own bag. As I was calmly trying to explain what had happened, the cashier cut me off, rudely told me to move, and pressed the kiosk screen herself instead of listening. She then insisted that I remove all items from my bag/purse, which made me feel as though I was being accused of stealing. This interaction happened in front of my daughter, which was embarrassing and unnecessary. When I mentioned that I used to work for HEB, she immediately removed herself from the situation without addressing how she had spoken to me or offering any resolution. I wanted to speak with the head cashier or a manager, but I did not see one available, so I chose to leave rather than escalate the situation. This type of interaction has happened multiple times at this location. Mostly all the self check out being rude. Unfortunately, the in-store customer service continues to fall short, while curbside service is consistently efficient, professional, and handled much better. I hope management takes these ongoing issues seriously, because this experience does not reflect the HEB standards I know.

Problem cashing a $11 monthly check that I have been cashing for months from my Housing Agency/ proxy HUD refund for utilities... "No category", I don't appreciate it! For a lousy $8 after fee?

We went for vaccinations. This is not our regular HEB and there seemed to be some confusion which is unusual for HEB. Maybe our expectations are too high. Nevertheless, our info was confirmed and we got our vaccines. All good.
