I love HEB, cashiers are great and baggers have always been impressive. Unfortunately, today the bagging could have been better. Fragile groceries were placed at the bottom, and some plastic-packaged fruit was crushed and popped open. I hope I won’t have to throw any produce away.

I go here all the time and one thing I like is their bakery bread. The prices are pretty good! and the food is mainly good too, although with a few awful exceptions. I've found their coupons to be very annoying a few times, where I tried to find the other part of a Combo Loco deal and couldn't, or where the coupon was out of date & they hadn't removed it. Latest one was "salad kit, any brand" & the computer wouldn't take the Dole salad kit & cashier acted like it was my fault - not the greatest customer service. Cashiers act like I'm trying to cheat them when I use a coupon!

This morning, a lady offered her extra HEB plastic bag to me during self checkout. I love my HEB.

We love HEB, but this one on Far West in Austin demonstrated a great deal of inflexibility today. My partner is in surgery so I went out to the store to something for her to eat and drink while we drove home. As I got going the list continued to grow to no point I had quite a arm full when I reached the register. After checking me out the you g woman offered to sell me a bag. I replied, no, I have a truck full and forgot it. Just let me use a paper bag or one of those plastic bags. No way. So I had to walk out with arm full. We spend maybe $150/wk. at Central Market the “no exceptions” does not land well.
