  This is one of my favorite restaurants in Austin. Good selection of vegan and traditional sushi. I love the variety of vegan sushi, with diverse flavors. The chef has definitely put a lot of thought in these creations. You can get a sushi boat with an order of 6 making rolls. The staff is always courteous and service is good even when they are busy. It is recommended to make advance reservations, especially on weekends.

  Every roll arrives looking like it’s ready for its close-up, vibrant, artfully assembled, and packed with bold flavors that make your chopsticks go “yes, more please.” Whether it’s a spicy creation that sneaks up on you with heat in all the right places, a creamy tempura-crunch combo that hits both texture and taste, or a fresh, bright roll that practically whispers “summer forever,” each bite somehow manages to be fun, flavorful, and absolutely addictive. The vibe is lively and welcoming, the drinks are playful, and before you know it you’re happily working your way through the menu as if you’re on a very delicious mission. You’ll leave full, happy, and already thinking about your next excuse to go back and tackle the rest of the rolls.

  Cool place great sushi. Unfortunately it was the right place wrong time. Came in around 3pm new Year's eve during a shift change and had to wait a while to get a table. Also had to wait a while for our server to take our order. Managers gave us a complimentary dish for the wait so that was nice. Food and drinks are fun and flavorful. Ambience is really cool!

The sushi is consistently fresh and creative, with a wide variety of specialty rolls and excellent options for both seafood lovers and those who prefer vegan or lighter choices. The atmosphere manages to feel both modern and relaxed, making it great for a casual night out, a family dinner, or entertaining colleagues. The staff are attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, quick with recommendations, and keep everything running smoothly even when the restaurant is busy. Happy hour is a standout, with generous selections of rolls, shareable plates, and drinks at very reasonable prices, which makes it easy to sample a bit of everything. Signature items like the Cherry Bomb and Blue Kani always hit the mark, and the appetizers and share plates round out the experience. Overall, Blue Sushi Sake Grill delivers on quality, service, and ambiance every time—highly recommend and will definitely keep coming back.

  My wife and I arrived late, around 9:45, after a delayed flight and a rushed hotel check-in. We apologized profusely, promised to eat quickly, and fully expected polite efficiency. Instead, we were met with something rare: genuine hospitality. Bella and the entire team treated us like family. Thoughtful bites, warm service, and absolutely no sense of being rushed turned what could’ve been a forgettable late meal into a truly memorable experience. This is hospitality done right. You should all be incredibly proud of what you’re creating here.
