Congrats but also relax. The food is actually good though. The chicken is solid, the bowls are reliable, and they never judge you for asking for extra rice like you are trying to build a small mountain. That alone deserves respect. But let’s be honest, the real reason Chipotle shines here is because somehow, some way, Austin has managed to make Mexican food confusing. I do not know how you mess up tacos in Texas, but here we are. So Chipotle steps in like a dependable chain restaurant superhero, cape made out of tortillas, saving us from disappointment. Is it the best Mexican food you will ever have? No. Is it consistently better than a suspicious number of local spots? Somehow yes. Five stars for being the most reliable “Mexican food” option in a city that should know better.

Witnessed a young man standing over food and preparing it while wiping his nose, young girl on the cell phone chewing gum, and just poor attitudes. Lots of touching everything and not changing gloves. Horrible view to see with food preparation.
