Since moving to Arlington (and leaving behind an amazing HEB), I’ve tried to shop this neighborhood Tom Thumb. Unfortunately, the produce continues to disappoint consistently. Fresh and organic selection is limited. When it's not out of stock, what is available is often wilted or shriveled. Today was a perfect example. Middle of the day on a Wednesday and multiple produce bins were empty. I stopped coming on weekends because the limited shelf space was always empty. Same thing on weekdays. That’s not a timing issue, that’s just lack of stock help. If fresh produce isn't a priority for Tom Thumb, I’ll just continue ordering from HEB via Instacart – even if it’s more costly and 30 minutes away. The stress and aggravation just aren’t worth it. And to top it off, as I was leaving today, a stray cart blew across the parking lot and hit my car denting the door, despite numerous cart corrals. Guess there was no staff to go collect them? I should have just stayed home. :-(
