One of the most racist, rude, and untrained staff I have seen in my life. I used to come to this place a lot, but after seeing how they treated my Muslim family when they came from the mosque, and how they made fun of my mother and sister, I will never come back here.
All of the food was bad, as if it was intentional, and they gave multiple customers their orders even though my family’s car was ahead of everyone else — their food came last. The staff made them uncomfortable and started making comments about how they looked, thinking no one from a different culture would understand Spanish.
So vile, so uncultured, and so trashy. This place does not represent the nice people of Mexico.

Not impressed. The food is good, but so overpriced for what it is. I got a quesadilla and side of rice for $20… insane. Not only that, I got a beef fajita quesadilla, probably paying extra for it, only to wind up with chicken anyways. Didn’t even get what I ordered. It was okay, a decent quesadilla regardless but it’s not worth the price it is. The rice is kind of bland, not even that flavorful. It’s better to spend your money elsewhere, it’s really not worth it here, there are places that have higher quality for a lot less.

I went here on a Friday and my experience was horrible from the start. The guy taking our order took so long not only to take my order but my friends order as well. He knew nothing about the menu and had to constantly have to go ask for help on simple questions that he should know about the menu. He took so long taking the order my food came out while I was in line waiting for my friends to finish paying. When the food was brought out the order was wrong. When I told the person who dropped of the food that the quesadilla had chicken (and I don’t eat meat on Fridays for religious reasons) and asked if they could please bring out a cheese quesadilla like I had ordered. I was very polite in asking. They agreed but tried to take the plate with my sides that I was eating. I kindly asked again if they could just leave the sides I was eating and that I didn’t need a new plate just a cheese quesadilla. They ended up bringing out the cheese quesadilla with the rice and beans side. I said thank you and they continued to try to take the plate with my old sides on it that I was currently eating. I asked if I could just finish my sides. They agreed but continued to watch the table like a hawk. I just wanted to eat with my friends and have a nice time. They then come out and ask us to pay for the extra plates since they messed up both my friends and I’s order when we just asked for a new quesadilla without chicken because we couldn’t eat it and yet they still decided to bring out a whole new plate. I work in a restaurant and when mistakes happen the costumer is always right and the restaurant tries to make the customer happy. It was complete ridiculous behavior when we were trying to enjoy our food after a long week, but we’re constantly watched my the workers. I will never be going there again because of how terrible the service was. I felt unwanted in the restaurant and I will not stand for that. My friends and I were never rude to the workers and were polite the entire time. I have been here before and loved the food and service, but this time really change how I feel about this place. I will now be taking my service elsewhere where I am respected and treated kindly as a customer. I hope they make changes and this doesn’t happen to another person trying to enjoy their food.

These tacos are truly exceptional, easily among the best I have ever tasted. The Taxco Special, in particular, stood out for its well-balanced flavors and careful preparation. During my annual visit to Arlington, I discovered this restaurant and immediately knew it would become a regular stop on future trips. The combination of fresh ingredients, skillful cooking, and flavorful seasoning delivers a memorable culinary experience. The only regret is not discovering this establishment sooner. The menu demonstrates attention to quality and consistency, ensuring that each taco maintains the same high standard. Overall, the restaurant provides a satisfying and authentic experience for taco enthusiasts, making it highly recommended for both locals and visitors seeking outstanding Mexican cuisine. Its dedication to flavor and quality sets it apart as a standout destination for anyone in the Arlington area.

I’m extremely disappointed with the experience I had at Taqueria Taco. This location advertises being open 24/7, but the way we were treated made absolutely no sense and was very frustrating.
We pulled into the drive-thru and it was blocked by a car coming from the opposite direction. I called the restaurant and someone answered immediately. When I asked if they were open, the woman on the phone quickly told me they were closed, even though there were clearly employees inside and people outside the building.
To double check, I went inside and asked a worker (who I believe was the same person who answered the phone). She first told me they were closed. Then she walked to the kitchen, came back out, and suddenly gave me a thumbs up saying they were open. At that point we were confused, so we sat in the parking lot trying to decide whether to go back in.
While we were sitting there, the same employee came outside and another worker was looking at us through the window. I asked again from my car, “So are y’all open?” She shook her hand no, signaling that they were closed.
What made this situation even more upsetting is that another car pulled into the parking lot shortly after. I told them the staff had just told us they were closed, but they decided to try anyway. They went inside and were able to place an order without any issue and stayed there waiting for their food.
So apparently the restaurant was open—just not for us.
This experience felt extremely unwelcoming and unprofessional. I don’t know if this was discrimination, selective service, or just very poor management, but something about this situation was clearly not right.
I used to come here often for late-night tacos when I attended University of Texas at Arlington, which makes this even more disappointing. If a business advertises 24/7 service, customers shouldn’t have to deal with conflicting answers, being watched from the window, and then seeing other customers served immediately after being told the restaurant is closed.
Management seriously needs to address what happened here, because this was unacceptable and left a terrible impression. After this experience, I will not be returning.
