Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Numerous customers reported long wait times, incorrect orders, and rude staff interactions, particularly during busy hours.
Food Quality
Feedback on food quality was mixed, with some customers enjoying their meals while others complained about cold or poorly prepared items.
Staff Performance
While some staff members received praise for their friendliness and efficiency, others were criticized for unprofessional behavior and lack of urgency.
Management
Management received both positive and negative feedback, with some customers appreciating proactive managers while others noted poor handling of issues.

Visited Whataburger today at 8 am and was looking forward to having a Honey Butter chicken biscuit. But they said they were out. How is that possible? It’s a breakfast menu item on a Monday, the beginning of the week! I don’t understand..

I used a reward in the app and the girl took my phone inside the restaurant to scan. She still charged me full amount and when I asked why she didn’t use the reward, she simply said,”you didn’t tell me you were using your reward.” So you took my phone to scan, yet you didn’t see I was redeeming a reward? Also, I didn’t get the holiday cup I requested.

Alyssa argued with me for 10 minutes over a simple food request. I personally watched her dump an excessive amount of salt (an entire container) onto a fresh batch of fries and then serve them to me. When I returned and politely asked for fries that were not overly salty, she gave me fries with no salt at all, and the portion was half full.
I returned a third time only to ask that this be resolved properly by providing fresh fries with regular seasoning, nothing special or excessive. At that point, Alyssa began yelling at me, accusing me of wasting food, despite the fact that she herself had thrown away a full batch of fries that she had overly salted.
Her behavior escalated further as she cussed at me, enforced clear double standards, and continued yelling in front of other customers, which was humiliating and completely unacceptable. Her conduct was hostile, disrespectful, and far below the standards expected of a manager.
I strongly encourage corporate to review the security camera footage, as it will clearly show Alyssa’s unprofessional behavior and how the situation was handled. I hope to be contacted regarding this incident, as no customer should be treated this way.
