When I went inside to explain to them that this was for my son otherwise I would just eat the bread and the soup separately, they didn’t understand what was wrong with the bread. I explained the best I could that the hole that is supposed to be in the top of the bread for the soup to go in, but was instead on the side of the bread such that no soup could be held in this bread bowl. They didn’t understand and thought that I just didn’t realize that you are supposed to take the bread out of the hole before you pour the soup in. It was very frustrating to have someone explain to me that you are supposed to remove the bread out of the hole that was cut before you pour your soup in. They saw nothing wrong with serving this for a bread bowl. Then they saw nothing wrong with it when I asked for a new one. I had a strong desire to take out my bowl of soup and pour it into this deformed bread bowl right there on the countertop just so that they could watch it spill all on the floor in front of them.
