- HWHolly WilliamsNov 8, 20254.0My husband and I visited Jamaican Gates for the first time for like an early evening dinner. The food was really good and our server was really nice as well. The only couple of things I took issue with was that instead of serving cups of water that’s usually free at any restaurant they were selling $2 bottles of water. That may have been a temporary fix to maybe an issue they were having with their water but I’m not sure and I don’t want to assume. Especially because we had to pay for it. But the $2 water bottles for dine in was weird to me. Also when we tried to pay using their online payment system we were told it sometimes doesn’t work. My recommendation is to just have customers that dine in to just pay with card directly to the server so it alleviates confusion in the future. Overall, I did enjoy the food and the atmosphere and would recommend others to try this hidden carribean gem in Arlington!
