It's expensive. Last time I went, I got very little meat. This time asked for extra. I also didn't put beans or rice on it but ask for extra veggies instead. I think they charged me for that. Don't know because they gave me the wrong receipt. $23 for one person for fast food is Ridiculous.

This used to be my usual chipotle for whenever I’m too tired to cook after I get off of work, and I thought it was pretty good. Now, ever since around a month or so ago, the new location that has opened up on Fielder Rd has set a gold standard for how chipotle should be. I can talk about the food just as well as I can talk about the service. There is a stark difference between the two location in both the food and service realms. Let me first start with the quality of the food, first. I like chicken, so I always get chicken. At the Fielder store, the chicken has a great char and crust. At Collins… it’s pretty much just tan all round. Not much crust development, when it’s supposed to be a grilled meat. I also always get fajita veggies, and Fielder’s peppers and onions have the vibrancy of my childhood memories; meanwhile, Collins’s veggies are drab, pale, and sad. I can go on about the quality differences. Onto the service. I get that chipotle is most certainly not a service restaurant— it’s a build your own bowl joint where the employees just do as they are told and throw whatever you ask for into your bowl. And that’s what I want to talk about. When asking for double protein, I expect DOUBLE protein, as in 2x, not 1.5x, protein. I pay an extra $3 for it… I’d expect my money’s worth. I went along with my friends as well, and they and attest to portions being extremely inconsistent. One of us ordered steak and received a heaping scoop. Another of us ordered chicken and received maybe 3/5 of the amount of meat, when compared the steak bowl. That’s a little ridiculous. And now, with the amount of lettuce put into my bowl. I believe I asked for a “bit” of lettuce. Perchance, half a handful’s worth. I got what seemed to be a separate salad put onto my bowl. See the attached image. It’s not THAT big a deal, but when the employee was having to compact the lettuce down, that’s when it turns into an issue. The food is decent. It’s chipotle. Can’t go super wrong. But the difference between this location, that has been operating for quite some time, as compared to the freshly opened one… it’s jarring. I expect consistency when I go to any location. Last thing I got is if you’re wanting chipotle, take an extra 10 minutes to make the drive to Fielder, if you can, and if it’s open.

I have been going to this location for over five years. I get the same exact veggie bowl every single time. No meat or dairy. A veggie bowl includes guacamole for no extra charge. For the FIRST time EVER I was charged extra for guacamole. The lady who made my order put the smallest portion of guacamole on my bowl so I politely asked to add a little more. She told me it would cost extra. After over ten years of going to chipotle with the same exact order I have NEVER been charged extra for guacamole. Although the food is always fresh and the restaurant is fairly clean I will never go to this location ever again. I refuse to be charged extra for guacamole on a veggie bowl.
