- RRroxy6 days ago2.0my hometown heb always has friendly staff during the day time but if you go around 9ish the staff including the front end manager (older lady with a bob brown hair) are very off putting and not as keen on being helpful. very disheartening as I felt I was purposefully embarrassed after reading the return policy and called ahead of time to make sure I could return items id gotten as a gift via baby shower only to be snootily shut down by the manager being told “if I explained the circumstances” over the phone instead of only asking for return hours she would’ve told me I couldn’t … I didn’t mention that I had looked up the return policy in advance to get store credit for the baby shower gifts (that I was going to spend immediately after in store) and was turned away making me feel really foolish and stared at by all the guests in her long line. the bagger also ignored me and made faces at me while the lady was speaking to me. I went to the parking lot and cried for a bit feeling defeated. I would’ve understood if she was a bit kinder about it or didn’t look at me like it was a crime to ask about an exchange? just disappointing. it’s not the first time overnight front end has been unkind but definitely this stood out overall as a bad experience edit about 6 mins later. I called Rockport heb and explained the entire situation, they were glad to help and walk me through the process on how to exchange for store credit where as the manager at HEB or front end lead brushed me off and didn’t mention certain times / acted like there was any way to help me period. VERY disappointing and just shows I was being discriminated against.

Their produce is truly top notch and the partners work extremely hard in keeping the store clean and having great customer service while doing so.
