- CLChad Lindsey1 day ago5.0Sushi Maru is our go-to for the best sushi and fried rice in Allen. The sushi is made from large quality cuts of fish. These are not the thin slices that you see at many restaurants. And the chicken or steak fried rice is a huge family favorite. We've eaten a few times but make it a take-out option at least 2 or 3 times a month.

Roll quality was very poor: really heavy on rice and very little filling. Definitely not my experience on past visits. Service was also slow and inattentive. I like this restaurant a lot and hope they succeed. And I’m rating 5 stars based on past visits. The quality and flavors are generally very good. Maybe it was an off night. But I hope this visit wasn’t indicative of how they’re operating now.
