  I want to start by saying the food was amazing, fresh and delicious. My family and I waited on the patio for our number to be called and come to find out we can't hear the numbers being called outside. I went inside and spoke to Emily and asked if our number had been called it was a while since we ordered and she said yes we called it about 4 times 😬😬. My mistake... But instead of just handing me our food she offered to remake it and that just set the tone for everything!!! She was absolutely the sweetest and most helpful person I've encountered in a long time!!! Thank you so much Emily for making our first time experience an amazing one!!!!

  We are born and raised in Chicago and were excited to try Portillo’s while traveling since it has always been a place our family enjoys. Growing up, our grandmother loved celebrating birthdays and Mother’s Day there, so we were happy to have one nearby. Unfortunately, the Allen location has been consistently disappointing. We’ve been here at least four times, and every visit has had some kind of mistake with our order. We’ve had items missing like fries and sides of cheese, incorrectly made food, and special instructions not followed. We’ve asked for things like extra salad dressing or having a beef and cheddar croissant cut in half, and those requests weren’t done. We understand mistakes happen, but after four visits with issues each time, it’s become frustrating enough that we’ve decided we won’t be coming back. It’s disappointing because we’ve always had great experiences at Portillo’s in Chicago, but this location has really hurt our confidence in the brand.

  I was out taking care of a few things and wanted to pick up something to eat before heading back. The weather was terrible — pouring nonstop — so I really didn’t feel like parking and going inside anywhere. I specifically searched for somewhere with a drive-thru, and since I’ve been making it a point to try spots I haven’t been to before, I figured it was finally time to check out Portillo’s. When I pulled up, Jaydon was outside in the rain taking orders, and he couldn’t have been more pleasant. He greeted me with a big smile and such a positive attitude despite the weather. That alone stood out. I ordered a cheeseburger combo with fries and a Coke, and everything came out hot, fresh, and really tasty. It hit the spot. What made the visit memorable, though, was the service. Jaydon was easily one of the friendliest drive-thru employees I’ve ever interacted with. His attitude made the whole experience better. Overall, it was a really solid first visit, and I’ll definitely be coming back.

  English: It was my first time visiting, and honestly I had some doubts before coming. My first impression when I walked in was very positive, the place is very spacious and clean, and they have a lot of variety in dressings and dishes. The burger I ordered was very tasty and fresh. The fries were good, and the soda from the machine was surprisingly well balanced, in many places you can feel too much syrup or too much carbonation, but here the gas and flavor were perfectly balanced, which I really appreciated. I hope they don’t change that. My kids enjoyed the tenders and their burgers as well. For dessert, I really loved the chocolate éclair cake, and my kids liked it too. The bathrooms were spacious and clean, which is always important. Points to improve: If you order food to eat there, there are no trays or something to properly hold the fries and burger. It felt uncomfortable eating like that. I had to use napkins as a plate because the fries were falling when I tilted the box. Also, I feel the burgers were a little small for the price. Español Es la primera vez que vengo y, sinceramente, tenía mis dudas antes de entrar. Mi primera impresión fue muy buena: el lugar es amplio, limpio y tiene muchísima variedad de aderezos y platillos. La hamburguesa que pedí estaba muy rica y fresca. Las papas también están buenas, y el refresco de la máquina fue de los pocos lugares donde sentí el gas equilibrado con el sabor, algo que realmente se agradece. Ojalá no cambien eso. A mis hijos les gustaron mucho los tenders y las hamburguesas. En los postres, a mí me encantó el chocolate éclair cake y a mis hijos también. Los baños son amplios y están limpios, lo cual siempre es importante. Puntos negativos o a mejorar: Si pides comida para comer ahí mismo, no hay charolas o algo donde colocar bien las papas y la hamburguesa. Es incómodo comer así; tuve que usar servilletas como plato porque las papas se caían al inclinar la caja. Además, siento que las hamburguesas son algo pequeñas para el precio.

  My stepson got the $9.99 cheeseburger special. He loved it. My husband got the chili cheese dog and onion rings. They were very good. I ordered the chopped salad. I asked before I ordered, if it was made in advance because there were a few items I didn't want on it. She said they make it when it's ordered. So I said I didn't want the tomatoes, onion or cheese on it. When the order was ready I asked for ranch dressing instead of the Italian dressing. So we went back home to eat. The tomatoes were for sure not on there. There were a few onions. There was alot of cheese all in the lettuce more near the bottom. I had to pick it all out before I could eat it. I will never eat that salad There again. Very disappointing!
