not sure if there is a staffing issue but I have had to bag my own groceries both times in the past 2 visits i’ve had because the baggers are no where to be found with multiple employees just standing in the front looking around.

It’s a trend at this point. I normally shop the Plano location and use this one as a backup. I’ve been here 3x and each time is something significant. 1/18/25 - the entire curbside team was sent home except one individual. The curbside line was around the corner and I essentially got to watch the entire 3Q of the Detroit-Washington playoff game on my phone. I don’t blame the worker. I felt bad for him and even left him a tip, but I’m uncertain who made the decision to cut the curbside team when there were at least 20+ unfilled orders. Their letters go to M and there were nearly 10 cars in front of me when I got there. Second time was in the summer. I went in and flies were all over the hot prepared items. I didn’t notice it today so maybe they fixed that issue. Today - the Plano store didn’t have the kind of turkey breast my family likes. No problem. The Plano shopper indicated there would be a sub. I declined it because I saw the item was available at the Allen store. I placed the order for pickup and got the app pushed notification that my order was ready for pickup. Drove nearly 20-mins out of the way to get it. I checked-in via the app and the curbside worker comes out and says, “We don’t have your order but we will for sure refund you” like it was doing me a huge favor. I asked her why my order wasn’t canceled if it wasn’t available or why the shopper didn’t use the app to make a substitution because then I could’ve at least rejected the substation and wouldn’t have driven out there. The response: “I don’t know.” I also asked why I got a notice that it was ready when there was nothing to pick up. Again, “I don’t know.” This location is poorly run and does not consider their customer experience. At all. HEB is far and away the best grocer in the state. This location is not good. I’ll drive to Frisco to avoid interaction with this site at this point. I even checked Google reviews to see if it was me or if this site was rated lower than the other North Dallas suburban sites and all are 4.6 so maybe Google aggregates the ratings? If that’s the case, this location is bringing the aggregate down.

HEB is my favorite grocery store, unfortunately there closest one to me is 50 miles away, maybe they will build one even close soon. Their HEB products are as good, if not better, than the name brands. Their flour tortillas are made in store and excellent! The ones I just bought were still warm!
