  I'm still learning about all of the wonderful things that come with living in Texas and I have to say this place is definitely at the top of the list for favorite grocery stores. The prices and selection are absolutely fantastic so when you have 2 picky eater teens at home you can't ask for better. If you don't like crowds though try to go either early on a weekday morning or in the afternoon on the weekends.

  Enormous store with anything you need. The store, however is set up with some aisles perpendicular to the rest. It's not a store that you can shop "around the outside aisle, but you need to concern yourself with what dairy you need, what meat, bakery, etc. Average price, but anything you need. Clean store with plenty of staff. Very busy!

  Don’t do curbside unless you want old and or close to expiring products. Bought the “atkins choco banana protein shakes” this last Friday and they’re TWO MONTHS OLD, like are you kidding. This isn’t the first time either, most of my produce will expire within 2 days if I don’t hand select. Curb side is about helping people who don’t have the physical time to go in, not for y’all to push off your old products. Do better.

  My daughter and I were shopping down the soda aisle. My daughter pick up a 6 pack, of a type of energy drink, when it or slipped out of her hands and to the floor. The can began spraying everywhere. I quickly looked for some help and I had no worries bc the workers there are extremely friendly and helpful. The first associate I asked for help he greeted me with this kindness and just understanding of accidents happening. I offered to pay and he said absolutely not accidents happen. Which is true accidents do happen in he was very kind about it I love HEB employees!

  Not worth even one star. On 28 March 2026 I placed an order for pickup for the time slot between 9:00 PM and 9:30 PM. I was charged extra for this reservation. I arrived at the store within my reserved time and used the app to check-in. The message I received back was someone would be out shortly. After nearly 40 minutes I finally had enough and went inside with the intention to collect my own groceries. I was told by an employee pickup was closed. I was passed off to a night manager who not only could not answer my question why the app allowed me to select the time of 9:00-9:30 and charged me an extra fee for that, but offered nothing other than I can come back next day to speak with a real manager. I worked as a lead with Sam's Club. If a member came to me, I would have done anything including looking for the member's basket. Now I must return tomorrow to return my groceries and take my business elsewhere in Abilene. Seriously dropped the ball on providing any customer service, HEB. Respectfully,... disappointed 😞☹️
