This HEB is okay. Its smaller than some other HEBs. Its the only one in town so certain things run out quick.

The Abilene store is so incredibly overcrowded. There really needs to be more than one in town especially with the population of Abilene. Normally the cashiers are helpful. Today I asked if there was someone who could get another box of brownie mix for me as the one I had was the only one reachable ( they were on the bottom shelf and the others were all the way at the back of the shelf. Out of reach. The checker told me while I was checking out that I could go to customer service and have them get them for me. Absolutely ridiculous

I wanted to say thank you to an amazing cashier at HEB in Abilene. Her name is Bella. She went above and beyond customer service by covering me when I had forgotten my debit card. It wasn't a lot of money but she didn't have to do it. She didn't hesitate to help. 👍👍 Bella!

I’ve never heard of any HEBs until I got to Abilene. I recently visited the one in town for the first time since I moved here. I was absolutely blown away and taken by surprise of the ginormous size of this grocery store/pharmacy. They have a wide variety of affordable groceries. I was excited to find out that they have a hot food ready to eat section with rotisserie chicken, whole or individual portions, baked/grilled food, and other hot food options. They have a variety of prepped food options. The self checkout lines move quickly so you’re able to get in and get out when you don’t have a big purchase. I’m super glad that I finally visited the grocery store and I’m looking forward to going there more often now that I know what HEB has to offer. They have a very wide selection of food, products, merchandise, and services. I was impressed with the quality and large selection of groceries. Each aisle I had gone down or passed by was fully and neatly stocked with a plentiful amount of groceries/merchandise/products. The self checkout attendant was a very helpful gentleman. He was customer friendly making sure I was able to use my coupon for an item that I wanted to purchase. I wasn’t really sure that the coupon applied to the item that I had gotten and wasn’t really familiar with how their coupons work or apply. Love, Light, Peace, Community, Blessings

It all began about week ago, now I understand it gets busy, I wasn't even upset that it took a week, to, finally get the deli. So I could inquire about catering, a couple of sandwich platters and a fruit and cheese platter! The gentleman I spoke with from deli said, and interrupted me while inquiring about catering and how much. He rudely says call back in 10 to 15 minutes. I am saying to myself is this guy for real! It took me a week to finally get the deli, and he wants me to call back. So it can take another week to get someone in deli! Na, I am good on that note. So anyway, I told him I will take my business elsewhere and hung up the phone! He didn't seem like he really wanted my business, he was rude and didn't listen to a damn thing I said! So I decided to call back and file a complaint. I talked to a customer service agent and explained to her what happened. So with all that being said, she says oh we are really sorry about the experience with us, as they all say were sorry! So tired of hearing we are sorry!!! Anyway she explained to me that she doesn't handle the deli department, she only handles the cashiers and the baggers! So this meant transfer time. She told that she would have to transfer me to the manager that oversees all departments, or do I want to speak to tge general manager. I am assuming the general manager because she listed off several, like how many managers does HEB need! Well she transfers over to the manager that oversees all departments. I won't mention her name here, because the manager I was transferred to offered to either transfer to another manager, or, she would have the deli manager call me back. I wasn't rude, I kept my cool and I said to her politely, that I didn't want this to be an all day event! Right when I said that she hung up the phone, with no resolution to the issue at hand! Now to be fair it may have just been a mistake. I will even grant that she hung up the phone by accident. However, seems how I didn't get to leave a phone number. I was not going to call back and go through all that again! So I called the San Antonio headquarters told them, that I wasn't impressed with the barrow store in Abilene. She never asked for a phone number or an email. She just said I will pass this along to our leadership team! I said fine and hung up the phone. So no, "here everything is better" is nothing more than a slogan! So I decided to cancel the birthday cake as well, along with everything for the party! Which is going to be my 50th birthday! I am not asking for anything. I am just bummed out that this happened! I canceled because I am done trying to get everything ready for my birthday and this crap happens! JUST RUDE INDIVIDUALS! I just wanted to elaborate more on why I am not happy with HEB! So much for turning 50!!! If its going to take a priest, rabbi or a dentist to get cattering done! Its not worth it! Like I shouldn't have to go through that much trouble just to get some information on catering! Anyway I hope they resolve the issue at hand.
