Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Customer experiences with service are mixed; some report friendly and efficient staff, while others mention rude behavior and long wait times.
Food Quality
Food quality is inconsistent; while many enjoy the burgers and freshness, there are complaints about cold food, incorrect orders, and poor preparation.
Cleanliness
The establishment is often noted for its cleanliness, with several customers praising the cleanliness of the dining area and restrooms.
Value for Money
Customers express mixed feelings about pricing, with some finding it reasonable for the portion sizes, while others feel it is overpriced for the quality received.

First time ever trying Whataburger. I was glad that we checked out their menu online prior to going. We went to the drive thru and there was a very nice young lady with a tablet and card scanner taking orders. She was patient with me, probably could tell we'd never been there before as I had no clue what kind of sauce options there were for the kids chicken tenders meal.
We ordered a Jalapeño Cheeseburger meal, Bacon Cheeseburger meal, and a kid's meal with chicken tenders. Since we were paying with a card, we paid the young lady in front of the menu board. She had us pull forward.
The young lady at the window was also very nice. She gave me a large bag and I asked about the drinks being in it also. I'm glad I asked because I would have pulled off without the food part of the order. The drinks were huge! 32 oz is what came with the meals. I had ordered milk for the kids meal.
After a few minutes I was asked to pull up as our order was not ready. There were a couple of people already pulled up in various places, so I didn't mind waiting for fresh food.
A nice young lady brought the bag of food out and I placed it on the front seat. It smelled delicious! It took about 5 minutes to get home. I told my husband, how excited I was to try it as the smell was absolutely divine!
We put our food on plates and the first thing we noticed was that the fries were cold. They weren't fresh as we had hoped. We microwaved them and they weren't very good at all. We did love how the ketchup packets were more like sauce cups that was great!
The burgers were huge and well made. They were fresh. There were plenty of jalapeños on the jalapeño cheeseburger and plenty of bacon on the bacon cheeseburger. I liked the mustard. We didn't know how they came but were pleased with the way they were constructed.
The boys shared the kids meal, there were 2 chicken tenders, a huge amount of fries, and a giant chocolate chip cookie. They loved their food. They were thankful I said cookie when asked "cookie or apple slices". (I tried the cookie and it was delicious)
Overall, the experience was about average for drive thru dining in Springfield, TN. The staff was very nice and efficient. The burgers, chicken, drinks, and cookies were great. The fries though were bad. I think that it may have been better if we had dined in because we would have been able to have the fries replaced.

Do not eat here!!!!!! My husband and I went there through the drive-thru at about 7:30 p.m., we ordered a chicken meal a hamburger meal and a separate burger and a separate order of onion rings. I don't know if they were having a contest to see how old the food would be acceptable to serve or if they could switch the sandwiches as much as possible. Are fries were so old it was ridiculous the cheese didn't even melt on the burger and we didn't even get our order of onion rings. I did call and speak with a lovely gentleman who is more than happy to replace the stuff that was bad we went back and they did just that and the fries were much much better I just don't think they care cuz the sandwiches were the same the buns were still squished I won't ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever go back

The lettuce was to wet which made my top bun soggy. Had to remove the top bun to eat my food. The restaurant itself was clean.
