Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Don't confuse this restaurant with a fast food chain. Don't be in a hurry. I arrived at 1:43, ordered at 1:50, and pulled out at 2:13. I ordered an original whataburger, small fries, medium onion rings, and banana pudding shake. $18 and 30 minutes later, I left with a small burger on a large bun and barely warm fries. The onion rings were hot and crispy, and the shake was great. The only other good thing about this experience was the people. The young lady who took my order was very nice, as was the lady who gave me my order. Will I go back? Maybe, but definitely not soon. I'll give them time to get their stuff together. There are too many options to waste my time and money here. I think it could be great one day, but $10 for a tiny burger will never be okay.

Ordered breakfast this morning at 6:20am. Nobody in line, the restaurant was empty. It took 15 minutes AFTER paying for the meal to receive the meal. Watched staff walk around and talk like they were hanging out. When I received my breakfast sandwich and gravy biscuit I drove to work. Mind you my drive to work from this location is approximately 8 minutes. Once I arrived at work I was able to chow down. Let me be clear, the gravy biscuit is below average! It's a hard biscuit with a cup of room temperature gravy. Bojangles and McDonald's actually split your biscuit and pour hot gravy over the biscuit. The Burger breakfast sandwich was room temperature. The bun was fresh out of the fridge. Two biscuits and gravy and two breakfast burger sandwiches WAS NOT WORTH $25.89!!!!! Bojangles for breakfast has this place beat by 10 miles, Heck even McDonald's and Hardee's!! Don't waste your money folks!!!!!!!!! 🤢🤮

Been three times to this location. First time waited 40 minutes for food after placing order but food was very good and fresh. On the 2nd visit, we had to wait 35 mins in drive thru. Very busy but knew (thought) it would be worth it. Wrong! Got the order and parked in their parking lot and ate immediately. The top of the bun was hard on the outside and mushy on the inside top. I'm still pondering how this happened with them being so busy. You'd think nothing would have time to sit and get like this as everything would be going out so fast. So, that was $30.00 down the drain this time for 2 meals. Decided to try it one more time, because my husband has always loved whataburger, and this time it took 25 mins to get our oder. Better timing. although I know they still need to improve more on that, this time the food was fantastic like the first time. We were so excited for this location and hope they continue to improve. The place seems to be unorganized and unprepared. I understand it is new and very busy, but I have been to other new busy places that have done much better. I really really hope they improve so we don't have to go to knoxville, like we have in the past, just to get a whataburger. We scout this chain out when traveling, and to know one is in our back yard is a plus, if they can get the kinks worked out. I am pulling for them to improve and be around for a very long time.

Just tried sitting in line at 8:15pm on 4/12/2026. The actual line had room but the 2 cars in front of us wouldn't go. There were 2 cars that pulled off the highway and we watched them actually pull in the line. We went around the 2 in front of us, the "security" guard stopped us and asked rudely where we were going. Told him the driver thru. He started yelling we had to circle the building and get in the back of the line because we cut in front of the cars in front of us. I told him we just watched 2 cars pull off the highway. He said yes those are the 2 he just had come back around. Well, smart security guy, there is no way they could have gone out to the highway to turn right into the main entrance. I asked him what his name was he said Duck and thats all you need to know. No, all I need to know ow is if this is the type of people you have working for your business then I dont need to visit your establishment. If he had been doing his job them the 2 cars wouldnt have pulled in off the main highway. Meanwhile what looked like a supervisor leaned over the patio fence playing on his phone. When we pulled off he got smart and started yelling to either pull around or get out of the way. Then he yelled at the employee taking orders "see what I mean". Do your job correctly and "Duck" you wont have issues like this.

1st we knew we would have to wait a while in the drive thru so we decided to go inside and eat. We waited in line (standing in garbage because the restaurant was trashed from all the customers) for what seemed like forever but I was excited to be there seeing how excited everyone was for Whataburger to be in our area. I had never had a Whataburger before. That excited ended as soon as my food arrived, we had missing items and there was a hair in my burger. Everything was fixed but by the time I got the rest of it and a remade hairless burger my fries were cold and disgusting. Our burgers were just over priced subpar- okay, nothing special. We definitely have better burger places in Sevier county. The chicken tenders were alright but expensive and you don't get dipping sauce for free with your tenders so that was odd. You will pay for any sauce you need. The banana pudding shake was like very artificial flavored with no cookie pieces or nothing like that. Our whole meal was over priced garbage really. The restaurant was ice cold so we elected to eat outside which was a little too windy for me- the restaurant can't help that but it doesn't make sense for the restaurant to be so cold, there was a literal line for our table outside. Lol. The armed security is a very strange thing as well. Well, we tried it, we didn't love it and those who gave it 5 stars needs to try some of our better burger places, Chubby's will knock your socks off and you will pay less 🤣 We won't be back unless their service gets miraculously better.
