The food was a 9 out of 10. I thought there would be a lot more people there because of the star rating. However, there were only four people. I had potato pancakes, the appetizer. My companion had the stew. We were both satisfied. At first we had trouble finding the door because it was at the top of a steep hill and there was a patio surrounding it. You have to go to the side to get in. Overall it was a decent place in a decent experience.

The staff was great and the restaurant was clean! Very friendly. Didn’t have to wait long for food either. However, there aren’t many diverse options on the menu. I got the shank. It was cooked perfectly and literally falls off the bone. Unfortunately, the experience was ruined by the gravy and potatoes that came with it. The gravy must come out of the packet as tasted like you’re just eating flour and salt and the potato chunks with the gravy tasted and had the texture of something right out of a soup can. I also got the mashed potatoes which I couldn’t tell if they were real or instant. They looked real, but tasted like they’d been soaked in dish water and seemed really thin like overwatered instant mashed potatoes. So, they’re spared from a one star review because the meat was great, staff were friendly, and the place was clean. They have a more than 4 star rating overall, so I hope my experience was an anomaly. I prefer to eat at local restaurants on vacation, but, for once, I kind of wish I’d stuck with a sure thing like Texas Roadhouse or Cracker Barrel.

Went here before a wedding because German food is always agreeable when you need to be sure. The one actress mentioned the cook was out so the manager came to cook and there may be a wait. The wait was a bit more than an expected amount of time but not unreasonable. The food came and was more than I would have expected. As I have had Würst in half of the major cities of Germany, I would have to say this place was surprisingly authentic. I was expecting Kroger brats on bagged salt brined sauerkraut but was very surprised with what was served. They must have a local butcher or make the brats in house because these were ausgeschenkt (awesome). Keep us the good work, it is not unnoticed. Highly recommend this place

They kindly told us we would have to wait when we walked in because they were short staffed, we weren’t in a rush so we decided that was okay. 🖤WE ARE SO GLAD WE WAITED! 😍This place was worth it! Service was friendly, communicative, and made sure we got everything we wanted out of our breakfast experience! 🖤We loved the food, and the restaurant/bathrooms were very clean as well. 🖤 They had some “Portishead” and “Placebo” playing as well, two of our favorite bands! 🤘🏻Thanks for such a great experience, we would recommend this place to anyone! 🔥

Wild Bear Tavern has a warm, rustic atmosphere that feels like true Smoky Mountain comfort. The garlic Parmesan wings are some of the best wings I have ever had. Crispy, perfectly seasoned, and packed with flavor in every bite. The service is friendly and the food comes out hot and fresh. This is a place we look forward to returning to every trip 🥳
