Our owner is a trained and certified pizzaiolo from the Scuola Italiana Pizzaioli out of Naples, Italy, the oldest pizza school in the world. He earned his certification in their "pizza classica" course. The class wasn't taught on how to properly assemble a pizza, how to operate ovens, or how to throw pizza dough in the air.
Customers consistently praised the pizza for its excellent taste, fresh ingredients, and unique coal-fired crust.

Best pizza I’ve had in 2025 by far. The atmosphere and service (axe throwing and beer wall) was fantastic. However, I was most impressed with the quality of the pizza. It’s so hard to get pizza that is fresh and tastes the way it should. I had the breadsticks with pizza sauce for the appetizer, which was amazing. We had a a large pepperoni pie for main course. The crust was fresh and crispy. The honey drizzle tied all the flavors together perfectly. The pizza was great even next day after it was microwaved. The price was surprisingly agreeable too. It you appreciate good pizza. Definitely give this spot a try!

I ordered a fried pickles and banana peppers appetizer, New Havens Original Apizza, and The Pizza Party. The appetizer was amazing. I really enjoyed it. On the original apizza I really couldn't taste the pecorino cheese. The crust was very good, perfectly crispy. I would say The Pizza Party was good. It comes with extra pepperoni and hot honey drizzle. It was very greasy so if that's not your thing maybe steer clear of the extra pepperoni. Not giving plates was unusual for me but I guess having the pizza pan it's not really needed.

Went here the evening of November 26th. Yes, they appeared to be very understaffed, I even heard a couple of the guys working there saying to each other about stopping further guests from entering until they could get caught up. What disappointed me as a West Virginian was the lack of West Virginia decor inside. I was ecstatic when I found about a West Virginia business down here but once inside, I only saw one or two things WV related. The food wasn’t the best either, especially compared to other fire oven pizzas like Big Daddy’s up the street! The pizza here had way too much charcoal on the dough to the point my daughter wouldn’t eat it. If you want to drink some beer and throw an axe, give it a try! If you’re from West Virginia expecting to find a little slice of home down here, you’ll be disappointed.

We stopped in for the first time tonight and the food was fantastic!! The service was just okay - not that our waitress was necessarily bad, but I think she was being pulled in too many different directions. Once she finally took our food order, we never saw her again until we flagged her down so we could pay. And the band, while very good, was way too loud for that space!!! We literally could not talk to each other at the table once they started playing! Either way, we give 5 stars for the great food & we will definitely go back again, maybe before the band starts playing!😊

We went in at 10:15 at night, the web said they were open til 11 on weekends. Another group of 4-5 went in right ahead of us. You could very easily tell the waitress was annoyed so after seated, I spoke up and asked “what time do you all close? I don’t want to upset you, I can tell you’re annoyed” I smiled and was nice about it (or something along those lines). She softened and said oh you’re fine etc etc. we normally close around 10-10:30 in the winter hours when it’s dead like this, but they don’t change it online so sometimes we get people late and stay open bc it’s listed. She was very nice after that little interaction. I can understand the frustration of wanting to go home at that time. It was dead before our two little parties came in.
So after that I’m soooo thankful we stayed, we quickly ordered a small pizza with just sausage and mushrooms. Amazing. Loveeeed it. Oh and get a side of ranch. I can’t wait to go back again the next time we’re in town. Best pizza I’ve had in that area for sure. Unique flavor of crust for sure.
*There was no axe throwing when we were there and the band had stopped playing. So it was quiet for us, but I don’t think it’s known to be a quiet place.
