All of the sheets by my house closed so while in pigeon forge we came here. It was an off time ( 2 pm) and I didn’t know if everything off the all you can eat bar would be gone but I looked and everything was full so we ate. I couldn’t believe it. They had steak on there and it was better than the one I got last night at Alamo steak house. I got fried shrimp baked and fried fish. Sausage. Fried chicken cream corn mashed potatoes and gravy. Cabbage , green beans salad bar that has eggs. Real bacon bits. I had to get the pink stuff , banana pudding chocolate pudding. Cherry jello. Cottage cheese pine apple. Peaches. Everything was good. Just like the old days. Ashley our waitress was great.

Well they ran out of items and u guess since it was closer to the breakfast bar closing they decided not to make more hash browns. Should have sent out a half pan or something. Waitress was sweet as pie.

We’re from out of town and took a chance on Shoneys because there’s like four within the area we are staying in. Figured it must be worth a shot. Looked up the reviews and most people were boasting how good it was! Honestly my initial thought was that there weren’t as many options as i was expecting. Still i gave it a shot. The shrimp was super old you could tell it had been sitting there for hours, the Brussel sprouts were burnt to the bottom of the pan, the meatloaf balls we’re so old that the sauce had hardened to the top of them. It just wasn’t worth it honestly. My comparison of Shoneys would honestly be hospital grade food. Our server, while she was nice, couldn’t even keep up with two tables. Another server had to come get us our drinks. Anyways overall if you’re from out of town i would definitely look elsewhere. Not worth it.

Shoney’s delivered a solid, satisfying experience. The food came out hot, the portions were generous, and the classic comfort‑style flavors hit the spot. The staff was friendly and checked in just enough without hovering, which made the meal feel relaxed. The restaurant was clean and the buffet area stayed well‑stocked during my visit.
Overall, it’s a dependable place for a hearty meal at a good value. I’d definitely come back

It's Shoney's still reasonably good food, still friendly servers, and clean. They are making a comeback if the kids of today can figure out how to eat food that doesn't arrive in a bag, on the porch, by someone they never see and it's not in a box, Styrofoam, or on a bun wrapped in paper or foil.
