The lady acted like she didn’t want to take my order while the other one was on her phone video chatting. Highly unprofessional!

I think this is over all the worst customer service I’ve ever had in my life. Which is insane to say. The smoothies and food(which people still seem to have a problem with at times as well) might be the only thing they have going for them. I literally only have been here twice. The first time is asked if I could have a strawberry banana smoothie with papaya added. The young lady serving me(with an attitude) said they can’t add fruits to their smoothies and that you have to swap it out with one of the fruits. So then, I asked if I could have a strawberry banana smoothie, but swap out the bananas for papaya juice. She was pretty silent, vibe was toxic feeling, but she made it. It was a great smoothie(even tho it tasted more like mangos than papaya). I was hoping that it was just that one employee that had a bad customer service and not the others. So I came back for that same smoothie. As soon as I walked in, it felt tense. There was no “hi” or “hello”, which isn’t the biggest deal. Not only that but they openly show that they don’t want to serve or help you. I walked up (after being in line for a bit), and asked for a strawberry banana smoothie, and if I can swap out the bananas for papaya juice like the other lady do. She proceeds to tell me that they can’t substitute fruits in smoothies and that you can only “add” which costs extra(in the rudest most unhelpful attitude . I then explained to her how another employee somehow did this for me before. She says it was impossible, and that they don’t do that here. She then said that, even if it was possible, they don’t have papaya. So the other lady didnt make the smoothie I asked for and probably made a strawberry mango one or something(even tho it was still good). At this point, it felt pointless to be here because that’s the whole reason I came and I don’t even know what smoothie I got last time. Right as I’m about to talk, a guy walks in and grabs one of the online orders on the side counter. I don’t know what happened, but the lady starts yelling “sir!” from the register. During this entire interaction, she has the bad attitude of a teenager. She walks around the counter while mumbling something like, “these people, don’t even..” in the rudest attitude. She goes to the door and she keeps yelling out to him for a good 20 seconds. I’m standing there in shock that not only was she rude and no help but she walked away without at least a “one moment”. This lady was ruder than the first. She was childishly entitled, rude, and unhelpful. I never leave reviews anywhere but after dealing with that I’m lowkey flabbergasted (I never use that word). I’m trying to let it go, but man the temptation to go back and ask for a manager is crazy. Not a Karen btw lol

Extremely Disappointing Service and Product – Avoid This Location 1 out of 5 stars I visited this Tropical Smoothie Café location this afternoon (March 6, 2026) and had one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had at a chain restaurant. I ordered a Peanut Butter Cup smoothie with double peanut butter and extra blended, specifically to ensure a strong peanut butter flavor—it’s supposed to be a chocolate-peanut butter treat, after all. When I received it, the smoothie had barely any peanut butter taste at all; it was mostly chocolate and banana with almost no nutty flavor, and it wasn’t blended as smoothly as requested. I politely asked the employee to remake it, explaining the issues. She flat-out refused, insisting “that’s how it’s made” and that nothing was wrong with it. She then proceeded to ignore me completely while I stood there trying to resolve the situation. At that point, I had to call my father to come inside the store. Even with him there demanding a resolution, the employee was dismissive and uncooperative. We ultimately had to insist on a full refund, which was given reluctantly. This wasn’t just about a subpar smoothie—it was about basic customer service. When a paying customer points out an obvious mistake (especially on a customization like double peanut butter), the expectation is at least an attempt to fix it, not outright refusal and being ignored. I’ve had better experiences at other Tropical Smoothie locations, so this seems specific to this staff member’s attitude. Unfortunately, this ruined what should have been a quick, enjoyable treat. I won’t be returning to this location and would caution others to double-check their orders carefully here—or go elsewhere. Zero stars for service, and the product didn’t live up to even basic expectations. If you’re the owner or manager reading this, please train your team on handling remakes and complaints properly. Customers shouldn’t have to escalate to family members just to get a refund for an incorrect order.

I love my local TSC; they're very quick when I order ahead and are always very kind. I recommend everything on the menu, but especially the Caribbean jerk chicken wrap

We went today and the lady who took our order was completely spaced out. When I ordered, I asked for just strawberries and blueberries on my bowl. After I got my order I was surprised to see coconut on it. I went inside and when I told the lady I’m allergic and she said “You didn’t tell me” then blew me off. Literally walked away and ignored me until I asked for her name. I got a new one bowl but it was frozen and her service was terrible. If you are looking for a good smoothie with good service, just go to Smoothie King.
