Disappointing experience overall. We had several issues during our visit that really took away from the experience. To start, one of the non-seasonal appetizers was already unavailable, and several drinks were also not available, which was frustrating given how limited the menu already felt. The food itself was subpar. The bacon was flimsy yet somehow tough at the same time, and the eggs were extremely dry. The “side of fruit” was especially disappointing — one green grape, one purple grape, and a single slice of orange hardly qualifies as a side. There were no paper menus available, which forced everyone to use their phones whether they wanted to or not. On top of that, we were automatically charged a 12% gratuity and an additional 8% service charge, which we were told ensured “the people bringing out the food got a tip.” This was not clearly explained upfront and felt excessive. The patio situation was also concerning. Although the patio was already covered, umbrellas were left up during windy conditions. One umbrella took flight and almost came through a window. It was put back up, only for the same thing to happen again — along with another umbrella. What made this worse was that staff stood by watching patrons take the umbrellas down instead of handling the situation themselves. Overall, between the food quality, missing menu items, unexpected charges, and safety concerns, this visit did not meet expectations.

Food is pretty good. They can be a hit or miss sometimes but they’re good overall. The service is almost always terrible. One waitress even told us we couldn’t take happy hour meals to go which is not true (this was confirmed by her manager only after we forcibly finished our happy hour meal thinking we couldn’t take the rest home). They also told us we only have a 90 minute time window to eat that starts once we place our order. So we were under the impression that we had to eat and drink fast because there were no to go orders even though that was false. The waitress didn’t give us any refills and we waited about 25+ minutes for or tab and it took me asking the waitress’s boss for the tab to even get our tab. We’ve been here multiple times and almost every time the service is horrible. We won’t be back. :-(

We had an amazing experience at Noir Kitchen & Cocktails. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming and the service was exceptional. The music and ambiance were top tier and really set the tone for a great night out. I ordered the lamb chops and they were absolutely delicious. Perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. The Brussels sprouts were an unexpected standout… OMG! They were packed with flavor and easily one of the best sides I’ve had in a long time. To top it all off, the apple cobbler was incredible, warm, rich, and the perfect ending to the meal. My sister ordered the catfish with mac and cheese and greens, and let me tell you, somebody’s grandma was definitely in the kitchen! They were seasoned to perfection and tasted like real comfort food. It's obvious there is a Michelin Star chef cooking this savory food! Our waitress, Alexis, made the experience even better. She gave fantastic recommendations on what to order and what would pair well together, and she was so personable and attentive throughout the evening. It was also impressive to see Kelah, the bar manager, personally coming around to each table to check on guests and make sure everything was going well. That level of care really stood out. Overall, amazing food, amazing service, great music, and an incredible vibe. We will definitely be back.

Love Noir hands down some of the best food in the city and my customer service experience is usually great! But my last visit this past Sunday evening wasn’t the best. My server Brandy seemed to be very forgetful and slow. She didn’t check in on our table much at all and seemed to not care. We asked another staff member to grab the manager. Once the manager came over he seemed to not care that our experience wasn’t good either he asked us did we enjoy the food or not we explained to him yes we did enjoy the food but that’s not the point we are making to him in this moment. He was extremely RUDE and pretty much like there was nothing he could do to help us because he would not be taking anything off of our bill since we ate and enjoyed the food. AGAIN he was missing the point the service was NOT good and he didn’t even acknowledge that he would handle that situation so he honestly made the service even worse. Look into better management that knows how to address customer concerns! Even if he would’ve offered 10% off, a free dessert or MOST importantly gave our table a little empathy and some assurance that her service will be fixed it would’ve made a huge difference.

I went to Noir, this was not my first time. I’ve always loved the vibe, music, and service. My waitress Kennedy was phenomenal and everyone bringing out the food were so welcoming. I’ve always had a manager stop by to check on my service and make sure everything was up to par. I saw a white man, who I later asked was the manager, walk to several tables, walked by mine repeatedly, made eye contact, but refused to speak to us. It felt very odd and off putting and not what I’m used to. Though I had a reservation, I’ve sometimes walked in and have been seated with no issue, but now, I’ve heard repeatedly that walk-ins are not welcome anymore. I love the visual upgrades, but whatever upper-management changes have been made are terrible. I’m considering warning all of my friends that the vibe is not the same and maybe consider giving their business to other black owned businesses that need the support. I hope things improve.
