If you’re looking for a dining experience in Nashville that perfectly balances upscale sophistication with a warm, "old-school" hospitality, The Palm is an absolute must-visit.
Located right across from the Bridgestone Arena, it’s the perfect spot for a pre-show dinner or a celebratory night out. Here is why it stands out:
The Atmosphere & Vibe
From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the iconic wall of caricatures featuring local Nashville legends and familiar faces. It gives the space a high-energy, "see-and-be-seen" feel without being pretentious. Whether you’re at a cozy booth or the lively bar, the ambiance is timeless.
The Food
The Palm is legendary for a reason. Their Prime steaks are seasoned and seared to perfection—the Ribeye is a personal favorite for its flavor and tenderness. Kudos to Chef Daveon!
Don't skip the seafood: Their jumbo Nova Scotia lobsters are massive and succulent.
The Sides: The "Half & Half" (onions strings and cottage fries) is a signature for a reason, and the Three-Cheese Potatoes Au Gratin are pure comfort.
The Service
This is where The Palm truly shines. In a city where service can sometimes feel rushed, the staff here are consummate professionals. They are attentive, knowledgeable about the wine list, and they make you feel like a regular even if it’s your first time visiting. Spencer's professionalism and knowledgeable culinary advice made our dining experience even more exceptional.
Pro Tip: If you’re going for a special occasion, let them know in advance. They are masters at making a birthday or anniversary feel truly significant.
Final Verdict: 10/10. It’s a Nashville staple that delivers consistency, quality, and a world-class steak every single time.
We were fortunate to meet the manager, Dylan. We are long time customers of The Palm and enjoyed visiting with him about the history of The Palm
The Palm Nashville delivered one of the best dining experiences my wife and I have had, not just in Nashville but anywhere.
We have dined at several high end restaurants in Nashville, including Bourbon Steak Nashville and The Catbird Seat, and while those places are excellent in their own right, the overall experience at The Palm stood above the rest.
From the moment we sat down, the attention to detail was obvious. The house bread with their house butter was excellent and immediately set the tone for the evening. We started with the seared sesame crusted tuna appetizer, which was phenomenal. Fresh, perfectly prepared, and well balanced, it was the kind of dish that makes you slow down and enjoy every bite.
For our entrées, I ordered the filet and lobster tail, both cooked flawlessly and full of flavor. My wife also had the filet, which was equally outstanding. We shared the Brussels sprouts, which paired perfectly with the meal. The portion sizes were ideal for just the two of us. Not too much and not too little. We left feeling completely satisfied without feeling overly full, which is something we truly appreciated.
One detail that meant a great deal to us was how seriously the staff handled my wife’s shellfish allergy. They took extra precautions to ensure there was no cross contamination, clearly communicated with the kitchen, and made us feel completely comfortable and confident throughout the entire meal. That level of care went well beyond what we typically experience and speaks volumes about the standards they hold.
For dessert, we shared the key lime pie with espresso, which was the perfect ending. Light, refreshing, and not overly sweet.
What truly elevated the entire experience, though, was the hospitality. Our server was warm, attentive, and professional from start to finish.
Andrew, the general manager, was exceptional. He took time out of his evening to personally speak with my wife and me, making us feel genuinely welcome. He shared the history behind the iconic photos lining the walls, explaining how they originated from newspaper clippings tied to The Palm’s first location. His presence, professionalism, and attention to guests clearly set the tone for the entire staff, and the care shown throughout the night was a direct reflection of his leadership.
My wife and I have traveled extensively and dined at hundreds of restaurants across the country. Without hesitation, The Palm Nashville is easily in our top five of all time. If you are looking for an unforgettable experience that delivers incredible food, atmosphere, history, and true hospitality, this is the place. We will absolutely be back!
My boyfriend brought me here to celebrate my 22nd birthday, and our experience was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, both the manager, Dylan, and our server, Brian, were incredibly polite, patient, and attentive, clearly taking great pride in making our night at The Palm truly unforgettable. Greg, another server was no different, brought out drinks, and did well on my Pink Berry Sangria. He was knowledgeable on the food I ordered and even gave me the history behind bone marrow, which I found intriguing because I’ve never had it until tonight. I ordered the Osso Bucco and Tiramisu, and both were absolutely delicious. We were treated as if we were longtime regulars, which made the evening feel even more special. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind, creating the perfect ending to my birthday celebration. We will definitely be back!

The food tastes delicious but our food came out lukewarm at best my wife had lobster ravioli and it was cold. The server Mitch was friendly and gave us extra yummy pretzel rolls. For the price I would like to have a hot meal.
