  Good food short wait but the black lady who took my order wasn't very personable! A smile goes along way! My order was ready and I was standing there and she kept filling other orders! Then she asked me again what drink I ordered. She was very unorganized!

  It’s a small restaurant on the lower level of Nordstrom’s straight off the escalator. The hostess brought me to the absolute worst spot in the restaurant. Being a single guest I suppose they want to keep the larger tables for bigger groups. I was seated in the far back corner of the restaurant right next to the emergency exit directly behind where the servers place their orders. Note to any single diners, ask to sit at the front counter bar-like seating where you can at least feel part of the atmosphere and can watch them cook if you like which would have been pretty neat seeing the dishes come together. Sitting where I was, was awful and awkward and made the chances of returning slim. The food was good and very flavorful. The waiter I had was great. He made sure to check on me and was very kind and helpful. I guess the positive thing about sitting directly behind where the servers station is, is that you don’t get easily forgotten. The wait time for my food was minimal. 5 stars for the waiter.

  For entrees that average over $20 each, you would expect much better service. We were seated and then had to wait 10 minutes for a server to come to the table. We almost had to get up and flag someone to come over. I ordered salmon with my salad- got overcooked chicken instead. My husband ordered the crab bisque and got tomato soup. No apologies from the wait staff. The meals were also very small for the price tag. What a disappointing experience. I wish Nordstrom would go back to how they were in the 80s and 90s. This restaurant is emblematic of the overall decline of the stores.

  “I ordered the seared grilled salmon, and it was one of the worst dining decisions I’ve made. The food was poorly prepared, burnt, and completely unsatisfying. I will not be returning, and I would never recommend this place to anyone.”

  The food at Nordstrom Grill was very good, but the attitude of the greeter at the check-in booth was not welcoming. She was wearing a mask and I showed her the $25 gift card toward food I had received from Nordstrom as an icon member. The greeter stared at the yellow coupon for a few seconds and frowned as if she doubted or was not sure. I was questioning my decision to eat there after not being welcomed properly. Luckily, the food was good as was the waitress. But the lady greeter at the check-in booth should be made aware that gift card/coupons provided by Nordstrom do exist and should be trained to act in a welcoming manner.
