I haven’t been to Morton's in a while, and this experience was a stark reminder of why. For a supposedly "premium" steakhouse, the entire evening was a masterclass in poor service and amateur cooking. It starts before you even get inside. While parking fees are common in Nashville, almost every other high-end restaurant in the city offers validation. Morton’s doesn't. Paying a $20 "admission fee" just to walk into a restaurant that treats you like an afterthought is a joke. My wife, daughter, and I went in for the Veuve Clicquot special. We watched as multiple parties who arrived long after us were served their food while we sat waiting. Eventually, the bartender admitted they simply forgot to put our order in. When the food finally arrived, it was a disaster. • The "Smash" Burger: Whoever is in the kitchen doesn’t understand the concept. A smash burger should be thin and crispy; instead, I got three thick, bone-dry, overcooked patties that were nearly impossible to eat. • Incorrect Order: They completely botched my daughter’s order, bringing beef instead of chicken. By the time the correct sliders came out, the rest of us were already done eating. The most insulting part was the complete lack of accountability. The bartender clearly knew the experience sucked—the food was late, the order was wrong, and the quality was bottom-tier—yet there was zero effort to make it right. No manager visit, no concession, and not a cent taken off the bill for their mistakes. I’m not looking for a handout, but I do expect basic professional courtesy at these prices. This was a pathetic experience from start to finish. Save your money and your $20 parking fee—Nashville has far better options that actually understand hospitality.

We had our Christmas dinner this year at Morton’s, our first visit since 2023. Quite disappointing, not as good as I remember it being, and definitely not as good as other places in the price range. The steaks were inconsistent at best across our table - one had a complete lack of any sear, no color almost as if it had been boiled. Creamed spinach and creamed corn were lacking. Fries were excellent. Service was ok - no mention or questioning when a $70 steak was cleaned away uneaten. Valet took a few minutes to notice us standing next to them to get off their phones and take our ticket. I’d recommend a lot of other places in this price range to try before here.
