  This place is so slow and they don't care about the customer, I don't recommend you to come here, 1 order is not prepared in 45 minutes, the employees are not good

  The food was great. The service was great the place was great then they charge me two extra dollars for a thimble full of coleslaw which really isn't all that anyway so it took away from the food it took away from the plays and it took away from the service I was spending a lot of money had a great meal and one ridiculously negative experience was it worth it really a thimble of coleslaw for $2

  🦞“Where Boston Meets Nashville” We celebrated our friend’s birthday at Boston Commons in East Nashville. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt lively yet comfortable. The concept here is interesting: Boston Commons, formerly Batter’d & Fried, re-branded in 2019 to focus on refined New England-style seafood and pub fare with a Nashville twist.  Their tagline “Where Boston Meets Nashville” fits the vibe—classic seafood dishes served in a warm, unpretentious setting.  For our celebration, we sampled a handful of their signature dishes: the bacon-wrapped scallops, shrimp & grits, lobster bisque, wedge salad, and Boston cream pie. Each dish was good and the Boston cream pie stood out among the dishes we tried. The cocktails were lively too, adding just the right amount of festive energy to our table. Pros 👍 • Signature dishes shine: lobster roll, bacon-wrapped scallops, fish & chips sampler. • Celebratory atmosphere ideal for birthdays or group dinners—staff greeted us warmly and helped set the tone. • Concept blends New England seafood tradition with Nashville warmth and hospitality. • Indoor and outdoor seating with lively energy but comfortable enough for conversations. Cons 👎 • Can get busy, especially for celebrations—reservations recommended. • Noise level rises during peak evening hours—might be a bit loud if you prefer quiet. • Some of the fried seafood draws a pub-style crowd (so level of formality is casual). Pro Tips: • Don’t skip the lobster roll or bacon-wrapped scallops—they’re standout dishes. • Opt for the fish & chips sampler if you and your group want to try a variety of seafood styles. • If you prefer a slightly quieter experience, ask for a table on the patio or away from the main bar. • Arrive early or reserve ahead for big groups to ensure seating and a smooth experience. For a birthday night out where seafood classics meet Nashville charm, Boston Commons hits the mark—celebratory, full of flavor, and truly a place where great friends and good food come together.

  This is one of our favorite places in Nashville, going back to when the name was Battered and Fried, although we don't get to go as often as we would like now that we're living in Hermitage. We have never had a bad meal here, or even a so-so meal. The service is consistently friendly and attentive, but the food is the main thing that brings us back, as we both love seafood. My favorite is the signature cod, which always consists of thick pieces with a crunchy breading. The fried clams are the best I have had, with the clams being quite large and the portion generous. The shrimp is also very good, with big pieces and a crispy breading. My wife really enjoys the Connecticut lobster roll. The bacon wrapped scallops are good, but we don't get them very often because the entrees are so big. The only drawback is the parking, which is just a way of life in the Five Points area.
