Happy hour is a killer. Good drinks, great sushi, good atmosphere. This place is fantastic as I've been a few times and I've never had bad food or service. Can't wait to go again.

I stopped in before a show at the Ryan for a quick bite . Loud and pounding music. It felt more like a dance club than a restaurant. Lighting also strange, lots of neon. not my idea of a relaxing dining experience but I’m in my 60s. Probably this atmosphere appeals to Millennials and Gen Z. It took 15 minutes to get my drink and it was mostly ice, very little alcohol. The sushi was decent, though nothing to write home about.

First night in Nashville and I made a reservation here before flying out. I love Sushi and this spot was just around the corner from where I would be staying.
I checked in for my reservation, and was seated immediately. The hostess was friendly and chipper.
My server came over and asked if she could get me anything to drink besides water.
I ordered the White Peach Daiquiri. It was really good, I enjoyed the popping peach Boba that was in the drink.
Sunday they have happy Hour specials all day long - killer deal honestly. I ordered the spicy garlic edemame and a miso soup.
The miso soup was brought over nearly instantaneous to me placing the order. Their Miso Soup was one of the best flavored miso soup I have ever had. Highly recommend - so good I debated a bowl to go.
The spicy garlic edemame was cooked perfectly, and was delicious - the spice flavor reminded me of a spicier version of Tajin. They were delicious, they will make your nose run!
I ordered the Lion King roll off the happy Hour Menu, the Iguana roll off the normal menu and asked my server if she had any recommendations - she suggested the tataki maki and that was the 3rd roll I ordered.
All 3 rolls were delicious, the Lion King Roll ended up being my favorite. I enjoyed that they have the whipped wasabi, but it was the spiciest wasabi I have had in a while.
Everyone in the restaurant seemed to be enjoying themselves, the staff was friendly, the restaurant was busy, a bit loud but overall a great experience.
I would definitely eat here again, maybe even again before I fly home!

If you like getting your meal one item at a time and completely out of order, this is the place for you. 🙄
My mom got her non-sushi side first—along with my stepdad’s side of rice. Then came the rest of my mom’s order and one of our sushi rolls. A few minutes later, the rest of our rolls arrived… plus the edamame I specifically asked to come out first.
My stepdad ordered a glass of Pinot Noir, but they were out—again. (They were out the last time we came too, which I had conveniently forgotten until that moment.)
We only came back because it was my daughter’s birthday request. The food itself was good, but the service just wasn’t. Our server was polite but didn’t check on us enough and never refilled our drinks. The restaurant was nearly empty, so it’s not like he was busy. To make matters worse, the music was so loud—with heavy bass—that it was hard to even have a normal conversation.
And as if that wasn’t enough, parking was a nightmare. It took us 30 minutes just to find a spot. The 5th & Broadway garage was closed, a stalled car blocked traffic, and we ended up parking all the way past the Ryman. The whole experience was a pain from start to finish.
Good food or not, this was our second disappointing visit—and it’ll be our last.
