About

Barbecue Restaurant
At Edley’s Bar-b-que we treat everyone who walks through the door like an old family friend. We pride ourselves with not taking any shortcuts in the kitchen. Our meats are smoked low and slow using Southern white oak. The sides are made from scratch daily with the same amount of attention. Everything is done with intention, from the food to the service to the music. We strive to serve the best food we can make and prove ourselves a worthy host—one plate at a time. Guest favorites include our brisket, macaroni and cheese, banana pudding, and our famous boozy milkshake, the Bushwacker. We are open lunch and dinner with a full-bar, and we offer catering for weddings, rehearsal dinners, corporate lunches, family reunions, and more.

Great Spot For Barbecue I stopped into Edleys on Lebanon Pike to try out some of their barbecue dishes. This location is close to BNA and hotels near the airport. Edley's has locations in Nashville and other areas of Tennessee. On this visit, I was looking for something different from my usual barbecue staple,s which are brisket, ribs and steaks. I ordered the Chicken Platte,r which comes with half a smoked chicken, a side of beans, coleslaw, corn bread and pickles. The chicken was very flavourful and was a very healthy portion, and I was almost unable to try the beans and the cornbread. Overall, it was a decent-sized meal that I was barely able to finish. Edleys makes great chicken, and I would try it again if I have a chance to go back.

Great food and great atmosphere! It was pleasantly busy for a Friday night in Nashville - not too crowded. We got the family sampler platter, which felt pricey when I paid the bill, but will end up giving up 6 meals. We were able to sample 3 meats (brisket, burnt ends, and shredded pork) and 4 sides (baked beans, skillet corn, coleslaw, and banana pudding). Last favorites were the skillet corn and brisket. They were good, just not as good as the other things. 5 out of 5 stars - will definitely visit again!!!

So the food was mid at best. I ordered the combo plate of ribs and brisket with mac and green beans, with a side of bbq wings. The wings were awesome, no complaints there. Green beans were 7/10, and the mac was tricky. It's seemed like box mac with homemade cheese sauce added, 6/10. It came with jalapeño cornbread which was an easy 9/10. Butter would have topped it off. Now the brisket and ribs.... just sad. The brisket (lean, not my fav) was dry. Ribs were mostly bone and again extremely dry. Bbq sauce was drizzled on top of the ribs and brisket. It wasn't great, just typical. I had high expectations of this place due to its popularity. But I can honestly say, ZZQ in Richmond, Va beats this place hands down. Now. Who would've thunk. Virginia would kill a nashville bbq joint. I watched what I assumed was the GM, not engaging with guests, but considering the style of the place it was set up for minimal customer engagement. Althewhile, the bartender was absolutely fantastic! I went from my table to the bar and was astonished as she engaged everyone, knew regulars names and orders. Gin, the only person who made the guest feel welcomed. I sat here (and is still here) and watched the place fill up. I've watched plates leave the kitchen with my same combo plate with meatier ribs and fatty brisket not dry and old looking. Smh. If any thing, go see Gin, give her a fat tip. She is the star of the restaurant! Not the food. Her service alone carries this place. --_So, talking with other patrons. I was told to leave after this review was posted. So I edited it. Gin told me she couldn't serve me anymore. Ok. Cool. But I know it was because of this review. Gin became less and less engaging. Funny, truth kills fakeness. Yt folks still being served. Hmm. Go there. Just dont be black and want anything other than dry food.

Both my wife and I give this establishment a big thumbs up and highly recommend. Based on the pictures we were not expecting such awesome atmosphere. The atmosphere is amazing and hard to top. There is some covered outside seating and a lot of inside seating with a bar. I think there were a couple of garage doors that allow for a lot of fresh air on nice days. It is fast casual. You order at the counter. They give you a number and your drink cups. You find a seat, get your drinks, and they very quickly delivered our food. My wife order the pulled pork platter that came with 2 sides. The pork was very tasty and her first side was the grits casserole which she thought was excellent. She was very happy that her second side could be the dessert banana pudding which she thought was thick, creamy, and also excellent. I ordered the Nashville hot style pulled pork sandwich. It did mentioned habanero so I should have realized how hot it was going to be. It was hotter than I expected so the next time I would get the same thing, but not the Nashville hot. My only slight frown was that at payment time the machine presented the options for 18%, 20%, 22% or custom tip. I always think fast casual should be more like a 10% or 12% tip since you order at the counter and get your own drinks and all they do is deliver the food and bust the table. I realize I can tip what I think is appropriate, but the defaults seemed a little high for fast casual. Bottom line ... if in the area give this place a try and odds are you will not be disappointed!

Got told to try Edley’s while shopping in Nashville, and I'm so glad we listened. The place was packed even on a weekday, which is always a good sign. But the setup was easy: order up front, and we still managed to grab a seat pretty quickly. We went all in and ordered ribs, mac and cheese, cornbread, and banana pudding. Zero regrets. The ribs were already solid, but adding the spicy BBQ sauce? Chef’s kiss. That little kick took it to another level. Mac and cheese was creamy and comforting, cornbread hit that sweet-savory balance just right, and the banana pudding was the perfect finish (I'll always favor my wifes though). The prices were super reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. Didn’t feel like one of those places where you pay extra just because it’s popular. Overall, great vibes, efficient service, and food that absolutely delivers. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area.
