Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Freshest "fast" food burgers you'll ever get come from Whataburger! Friendly staff, and this particular location was probably the cleanest I've been to.

Love this place. We come every time we come down and visit. My absolute favorite is the bologna sandwich. The ribs are fall off the bone tender and the brisket melt in your mouth.

Night shift male manager with a pony tail is rude and unfriendly. How is he gonna act like it’s my husband’s fault that they forgot his fries on a pickup order that was scheduled ahead but he still had to wait over 10 minutes for in the drive through with literally NO CARS in line. I will pull out the dash cam footage if I have to. The manager didn’t even seem like he was sorry for the troubles, I could hear him through the phone. When people tell you they’re on a 30 minute break you could at least act like you’re really sorry for having bad service. But I guess he’s just really bad at his job. Customer service isn’t for you buddy. I would say who but we didn’t get the name and I tried calling the store immediately after to get a name but no one answered. Yikes.

Took 12 minutes for them to get my order out after ordering ahead. Mind you there were no cars in the drive through. Then while I’m driving back to work I checked my bag just to find out that they forgot my fries. I was livid. I literally only have 30 mins for my break. I went back to go get them obviously. The manager was something, it was the face that got me and the tone. His excuse is they were in the middle of a shift change. So that’s why yall forgot my fries and it took yall forever to come out with the food initially when there was no one there. I felt like he had attitude. I asked what I could do to get my food faster since ordering ahead doesn’t seem to work and he said “just order through the app”. THAT’S WHAT I DID. I didn’t even get a chance to eat my food because that took all my time.

Such a waste of time.
We were heading to the Opry Resort for an event and stopped by this location. It had been a while, so we decided to go through the drive-thru and grab some food. It was around 10:30, and there was literally only one car waiting in the drive-thru.
We placed our order and waited. It took 15–18 minutes to get our food. The staff never checked on us or said anything about the long wait. Finally, someone brought out our food and apologized. I asked if everything was in the bag, and they said yes, so we left since we were already running late.
Guess what? The food wasn’t hot enough to justify that long of a wait. I asked for spicy ketchup, but they only gave regular ketchup. On top of that, the cheese wasn’t even melted. It wasn’t cold, but it definitely wasn’t warm food either.
This just reminded me that Whataburger is just a regular franchise, not a unique place like In-N-Out or Shake Shack. If you’re a super fan of this burger, then sure—I won’t stop you from waiting for it. But if you’ve never tried it, you’re not missing anything. Seriously, nothing special.
If you’re going to try Whataburger, do it in Texas or Florida—not this location, for sure.
