I don’t know if the owner is a penny pinching Scrooge or they just can’t keep good help but there is some sort of management problem. This subway is in the middle of town and most slower subways I’ve seen have at least two employees. Otherwise the place is clean and the one employee was nice and doing his best under the circumstances.
