  The atmosphere was great, but the food was a bit hit or miss. One of our dishes was excellent, while the other felt a bit under-seasoned and bland. I love the vibe of this place, so I hope they can work on the consistency of the kitchen.

  Great customer service, this location was super busy today but as I waited for my order each person that was working greeted me, asked if I’ve been helped, double checked on my order, and proved me with updates as often as they could. I appreciated that greatly.

  I haven’t been in a long time but lately I’ve been frequenting more often. The staff has been so nice and food is delicious. I’ll keep coming back.

  I’m writing to express my concerns about the lack of inclusivity and respect I experienced at this restaurant. As a person of color, I felt unwelcomed When I entered the restaurant, the front desk attendant refused to acknowledge me and even walked away. I had to find a screen to place my order on my own. A minute later, a white woman walked in and was immediately greeted with a smile and her order taken. The same attendant who had walked away from me without saying anything now side eyed me while taking the white woman’s order. At that moment, it was only me and the woman in the restaurant, and the stark contrast in treatment was deeply unsettling. The food was mediocre at best. I ordered pepperoni pizza, hoping for the basil, but unfortunately, it was missing. While I understand that everyone has different preferences, this incident has made me hesitant to return to this location due to the blatant racism I witnessed. I believe that a restaurant should be a welcoming and inclusive space for all customers, regardless of their race or ethnicity.

  If you are ever in Memphis, Tennesee, and it's late and you need a bite, stop at Newk's Eatery. You won't regret it, and you'll sleep like a baby that night. Try the potato soup with a sandwich or wrap. Get a piece of cake for dessert. Food was great, service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was perfect. They also provide take out if you're too pooped to sit there. The Newk's we visited, in Memphis, had a Hampton Inn right next door.
