Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

First time ever coming here. I will.have to say the staff had some incredible customer service and they were caring and communicative with everyone in the building. They all had smiles the whole time.

Food is good with a nice variety. Service is extremely slow. It's so bad that the drive-thru is a parking lot, all cars are parked and cut off. Be prepared to spend 30 to 45 minutes in line.

This place's drive thru is a joke!! I just waited 30 minutes only to be put on the back burner when they decided to resume taking orders. They got two lanes for nothing. It doesn't speed anything up and the cashier didn't even switch between the two to take orders!!!! This would've been my first eating experience here but I guess I'll never know...especially at this one!!!!!

I have been to the one on Austin Peay only maybe 5 or 6 times now and the food is ALWAYS great! The service.... hit or miss. The atmosphere is just lovely, though I only do carryout. I've gone through the drive-thru the first couple of times and the service was pretty good. Now, the service inside the restaurant is not the same all the time.
I came in one night and they just failed to give me my other burger that I paid for. I paid for the #2 and #5 combos. I got just one burger and both fries. The lady who rang me up initially was very friendly, but I guess she had gone on break and was replaced by this very apathetic, unapologetic younger woman. I say that because after waiting even longer for them to give me my burger, when she handed it to me she just said, "Here you go", with no smile or apology to follow. Okay?? Today I visited (10.27.25), and it was very pleasant because, I guess, their regional and general managers were present doing their observations or whatever. I didn't get their names, but they were two African American gentlemen and both were very friendly, of course. One wore glasses like me and loved the Peach Fuze flavored tea like me also. I found that out because he said they were completely out of it until Thursday morning. He added that he understood my frustration because that's the only one he gets, too. So, yes, he was very courteous and conversational and kept saying in a very jocular, yet sincere voice, "Now, I'm gonna see you back in a few days," with a friendly smile to match. I even got something different this time, too - the Wrangler Bacon Burger - and it was delicious!!😋
