  I always go here whenever I get homesick. The food is always good and fresh. I bring friends to here whenever I can so that they can try a part of my culture.

  To walk in the door and immediately be greeted with the delicious smells of Cebu cuisine and completely surrounded by a warm community, will make you feel at home. The food meets every expectation that the smell brings, and the owners are delightful. I personally cannot wait to bring family and friends here.

  Yesterday was my third visit to Maemax! I had my birthday party there and it was so much fun. I made a yelp reservation and they put the table exactly where I requested for it to be. The hosts are always so welcoming and kind. The buffet was really solid! A big variety of foods to try out. It’s a very family friendly environment which I enjoy. $25 is worth it because you don’t just get a real buffet but the experience is one of a kind. Thank you to the staff for helping make my birthday unforgettable :)

  The food and customer service were excellent! The flavor on my chicken was phenomenal and the garlic rice was banging! I also had very friendly and prompt service! I Will surely be back!

  Ordered Sisig with garlic rice and sinigang broth today through Uber Eats so I can’t speak on service and the restaurant. My review is solely based on the food I ordered. For context I recently moved here from Canada where there was an abundance of Filipino food. I have been craving Filipino food since moving here and I saw Maemax through a facebook group. Ordered today for lunch at work and I was left a little disappointed. The pork was cooked really well, not dry at all and I appreciated that no cartilage was used in the dish(cartilage is usually what makes up sisig but I prefer pork belly). Serving size was also great for the price. But here’s the reason why I only gave 3 stars: 1. I don’t think red onion was used. I think it might be yellow/white onion which is a lot milder than red onion and not what is usually used in sisig. 2. Sisig was missing acidity and ground pepper. I recommend asking for vinegar because lime will alter the taste. 3. I requested for the sisig to be spicy and unfortunately largely sliced Chili’s were just added on top instead of incorporating the chili while making the sisig. 4. Garlic rice was lacking garlic flavor and the rice itself was too mushy 5. Sinigang broth lacked sourness and it was very greasy. Definitely left my lips glossy. I would definitely still order from Maemax when Filipino food cravings strikes but hopefully the above feedback can be taken constructively. Would probably eat at the restaurant instead of delivery next time as well.
