Sat there for 25 minutes waiting on a DoorDash order. Right as soon as I get tapped arrived at store, the customer says they're taking their sweet time. So I knew something was up. Then I tell the dude at the counter that I needed to pick up an order and said the name. He said, "It'll be a minute." Then got asked 3 different times what the name on the order was. I had to show them because they couldn't understand what I said. Finally, after 25 minutes of waiting, the last woman to ask me the name came over and said that it was picked up, and then cancelled, so a Dasher got free food, and I got screwed on the money, because I didn't deliver it. I hope the customer got his money back, including my tip, because my theory is, if I didn't deliver the food, I don't deserve a tip. He messaged me right when I was gonna call him asking what was going on. So I called him and told him what happened. I was pissed off and said, "So I wasted all that time waiting for nothing." He said, "Just wish I could find a way to give you a tip for waiting." I straight up told him, "Don't worry about it, I'm not pissed off at you. This happens a lot more than you think. I've always gotta wait somewhere." In all honesty, Papa John's or DoorDash should've gave me cash for waiting. But I'm used to waiting, so I don't dwell on stuff like that. And hell, if I would've got told that it had done got picked up, I would've been less pissed off. But 25 minutes? That's complete bs. I just hope the customer got his money back
