pulled up to the Sonic at around 7:40 pm and it seemed completely dead—no lights or activity at first with all the blinds closed. I waited at the drive-thru speaker for what felt like forever with no response, so I started to drive off. That’s when they finally asked for my order over the speaker.
I reversed back, tried to place my order, but got zero response again after waiting more. Eventually, I drove up to the window and knocked. The employee who came over looked super annoyed with me from the jump and took my order with clear attitude—like I was inconveniencing them by being there.
The food actually came out pretty fast once ordered (props for that), but the whole interaction left a bad taste. As I was pulling out, a line had formed behind me, so hopefully those folks got better treatment than I did. This place has a rep for inconsistent service based on other reviews, and unfortunately, my visit fit right in—slow to respond, attitude from staff, and just overall chaotic vibes.
Food was fine (as expected from Sonic), but the service was disappointing enough that I probably won’t be back soon. If you’re in the area, maybe try a different location or order ahead via the app to skip the drama.
Hope management sees this and steps up—Fountain City deserves better quick-service options!

I ordered two super sonic burritos and got basically two egg burrito. Nothing except cheese, lots of egg and some sausage. I ask if there was salsa in bag and was told yes. No salsa. I called and was told my $5 item would be replaced with a coupon for a free drink since I was so far away when i opened the food. . I hung up. So if you read this and think it is good service fine I think it is bad service.
