I don’t know what’s going on at this place, but it clearly needs a full reset. No one seems to know what they’re doing. I’ve never received a correct order, and it still takes over 10 minutes with no one else in line. This is a basic coffee straight off the menu. It shouldn’t be this hard.

Food was great and pretty quick. Odd having a tip jar at the drive thru.

I am a drivethru customer so I can't rate atmosphere but I think they have good donuts and GREAT service. I haven't learned her name yet but the friendly lady with short hair and tats is just extremely friendly, asks about your day and actually talks to you like the persons we are. WE ARE NOT DEVICES...not yet anyway lol.

PART 1 Let me start by saying, I have lived in the heart of Dunkin’ Donuts territory in Massachusetts. For those of you who have never had the pleasure, Dunkin was founded in Massachusetts in the 1950s. While now a national chain (hence the popular slogan “America Runs on Dunkin”), Dunkin’ Donuts simple hits better in the North (for my history and geography buffs: above the Mason-Dixon Line). Southern American Dunkin’ Donuts is different, and I fully acknowledge that the sugar to dough ratio is higher and my arteries will be more clogged after a visit to a southern chain. However, I have now lived in Tennessee for nearly 8 years and frequented countless Dunkin’s, and even still with my adjusted expectations this Dunkin Donuts is by far the WORST Dunkin’ Donuts I have ever been to (yes, even worse than the sketchy gas station one in Ohio that I visited at near midnight several years ago). What makes this Dunkin and my experience so horrific? I’m glad you asked. Now let me first say I have tried this Dunkin on several occasions (more than 5) and every experience has been the same. So the particular experience I am about to reference is by no means a one off. On Sunday, January 11, 2026 at approximately 10:40 a.m. I stopped into the Dunkin to get some quick coffee and pastries with my husband. There was one car in the drive thru at the order board, so based on prior experience of extremely long wait times in the drive through, we opted to go inside. Once inside I noted there were three people working (though one was not readily apparent). The first man was fiddling with the donuts but did not actually appear to be doing anything overly productive. Another individual was working the drive-thru window with the headset and was quite aggressively animated at whoever they were speaking with. My issue was with the gentleman near the counter who completely ignored us. No “hello,” “welcome to Dunkin,” “I’ll be right with you.” Zip. Silence. Even after my husband goes “do we have to order on the tablet or can we just order in person?” He ignored us. After waiting approximately 4 minutes I ordered our food on the tablet. Unfortunately the tablet does not allow for certain customizations of coffee, so I placed the order and figured I would tell someone the changes I needed to my husband’s coffee. At the end of placing my own order, the tablet asked me if I would like to tip and even offered for me to tip up to 20% (I believe there was also a 25% button but am not 100% sure on that fact). Excuse me? Tip? For what? A job that at this point I am doing half of? No. I’ve worked in the service industry, I’ve waited tables to support myself and put myself through education for yeaaaaaars. I made the $2.15 an hour and relied on tips. Folks, I assure you the Dunkin employees do not make $2.15 an hour and now that they are not even taking my order or even greeting me or asking if I need anything, what am I tipping you for? Cooks in a restaurant kitchen who prep the food do not get tipped, it is the servers who provide the service who do. In this comparison, Dunkin has made me my own server. (Trust, we will circle back to this). Once our order had been placed I watched it print on the printer near the man, and I watched him ignore it as he continued to wander around looking busy and frazzled but accomplishing nothing (except maybe handing a box of donuts to the drive through). A girl almost immediately emerges from the back and hands me my warmed muffin. It was at this point that I asked her if she could make my husband’s coffee with whole milk instead of oat milk because there was not a button for it on the computer. She looked at me as though I had just asked her to hike Mount Everest in 6 inch stilettos. I followed my request up with a second “there is not a button on the computer for this substitution” (but, having ordered it many times, know it is entirely possible). Finally, she says, “uh I guess I can ask them if they can try.” ??? What? If they can try?
