We were so excited to try this new breakfast restaurant! We were extremely unimpressed. The scrambled eggs tasted like they were from a carton (some of them burned), the ham tasted like it was rancid. The biscuit was clearly a frozen biscuit. The grits were good, but had been set so long that they had formed a film on top. The waffle was chewy and had zero flavor even with the syrup and whipped butter on top. The bacon and fried eggs were decent. We were not greeted when we walked in and the waitress was getting fussed at by another employee. Food took about 30 minutes to come out, and was simply warm, not hot. On the plus side, our waitress, Kelly, was wonderful and very attentive!

My husband and I decided to give this new restaurant a try. We got there at lunch and only had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. The restaurant is very bright modern. The staff is friendly and our waitress quickly greeted us. I order do the BLT sandwiche with chicken tortilla soup and my husband ordered a chicken salad sandwich with strawberry fields salad. I also ordered a vanilla chia latte. Overall everything was good, portion sizes were plentiful. I give four stars because my latte was super sweet, the salad comes with the dressing mixed in and it was too much, and the cost is a little higher than I expected.
What a WONDERFUL Dining Experience. It was our first time dining at the New " Toasted Yoke" in Johnson City. The interior is very Bright and Clean. The Menu is large and offerings very extensive.
At first, one thinks it appears to be on the " pricey" side; but as you dig deeper into the Menu you discover there are many options available for a more modest budget.
The food servings are Very Generous! I had the french toast, which was good; but quite large for one. Everyone.... Do Yourself a Favor and Order the HASH BROWN CASSEROLE !! It is Out of this World !!!
The True Highlight of our Dining Experience was the EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE we had with " Krista " ( sp ) ?. She was Very attentive, conversational, informative and a total joy. Her sense of humor was refreshing without being overbearing. She has a gift for making anyone feel comfortable and cared for while under her care.
The Owner " Chris " also came over to our table and asked how we liked our meal and dining experience. That was a very nice touch given how busy his day must be there.
Johnson City is fortunate to add " Toasted Yoke " to its growing list of great eateries in the area for both locals and visitors to enjoy.
If you have not yet checked out " Toasted Yoke" do yourselves a favor and Do so. You Won't be disappointed! 5 Stars !

So we are here for the first time, and the atmosphere was nice and chatty, not too loud. The service was good. But we need to talk about the food…. I got the double-decker omelet, and the best thing I can say about it was that it had 4 eggs instead of the traditional three. But for a $15 omelet with the additional charge for wheat toast and cheese grits, pushing that to $17, I was rather underwhelmed with the overall lack of developed flavor.
Now let's talk about the deal-breaker… my wife ordered “The Alaskan”: salmon and spinach on an English muffin with hollandaise. As soon as it hit the table, you could see that the sauce was broken. What is supposed to be the rich, velvety texture meant to accentuate the flavor of the dish was, in fact, finely textured, oily scrambled eggs. When we brought it to the server's attention and asked her to inform the KM, their combined response was to turn down the temperature on an already broken dream and offer us more of the same as a consolation. Don't get me started on the English muffins, swimming in Lo Melt instead of butter.
So, for $50 for breakfast for two with no alcohol, Waffle House and Cracker Barrel, are more consistent purveyors of a casual breakfast. And if you would like something on par with the expectations of this restaurant then look to Eggs Up Grill or Maple Street Biscuit company.

First time eating at their new Johnson City location. Very busy. Seated right away but it took a little while to be greeted by a server and asked about drinks. Menu is expansive...was hard to pick something on my first trip. Got one of their omelets as did my wife. Food arrived much quicker than anticipated considering the slow start. Portions were large and the food was tasty. The coffee was a little "bolder" than I like but the mugs were really cool. Our server was attentive throughout the meal, refreshing our drinks several times. Overall a good experience and I'll be back. I attribute the slow start to the restaurant being new and working out a few things. There are several items on the menu U look forward to trying.
