So clean! The staff take a LOT of care making sure our food is up to the highest standards. I'm a cancer survivor with autoimmune. I get sick from people mishandling my food and I never have this problem with Five Guys! The food is incredible, too.

The Johnson City Five Guys is a really wonderful restaurant. The food is always prepared perfectly, hot, fresh and delicious. The staff is super nice, they are always super friendly and will talk to you. They are genuinely nice. It is the best place in Johnson City to get a cheeseburger. They are a little pricy but it is worth it for a perfectly prepared cheeseburger. I always stop in when I am in JC.

Love Five Guys. Best French fries ever and the warm up well in the air fry. I wish it was a little cheaper it Costs $25 a meal with drink. But I'm told they pay a proper wage. The place is always clean. Free Peanuts are given out so don't go if you have a peanut allergy. Fast and friendly service. There employees are friendly helpful and diverse. The burgers are amazing. Try them with everything on it.

Here’s the deal: Five Guys in Johnson City is burger bliss with the volume turned all the way up. From the second you walk in, the flat-top is singing, the grill crew is flying, and that glorious, toasty-burger aroma grabs you by the hoodie. The vibes are unfussy and loud in the best way—bags of potatoes stacked like décor, an open kitchen where you watch your dinner get seared, stacked, and wrapped with the confidence of a place that knows exactly what it’s doing. The burger? A joyful, juicy, two-handed situation. The bun is warm and squishy, the patties are seared hard on the edges, and the toppings are build-it-your-way—add grilled onions and mushrooms, then let a blanket of American cheese do the rest. It’s messy, it’s drippy, it’s perfect. Fries arrive in a little mountain (they famously “top off” the bag), and the Cajun seasoning is the move: zippy, smoky, and ridiculously snackable. Wash it down with a thick shake (peanut butter + Oreo = undefeated) or go wild with the Freestyle machine. Service is quick, friendly, and laser-focused—orders come out hot and accurate even when the line’s busy. Prices are above typical fast food, but the quality and portions make it feel like a treat-yourself win rather than a splurge regret. Pro tips: • “Little” burgers are single-patty; the regular is a hefty double. • Split a large fry unless you’re truly in beast mode. • Cajun fries. Thank me later. Bottom line: Five Guys Johnson City is a reliable, high-energy stop for a ridiculously good, customizable burger-and-fries feast. 5/5—worth every napkin.

My husband ordered me a small fry and a cheeseburger with a few things that needed to be grilled so it took a little longer than expected, but no big deal. I asked for extra cheese so that it would extra cheesy. My husband waited inside while the food was prepared. As soon as he walked out, he brought it straight to our vehicle for me to unwrap and eat. I didn’t go inside because I was sick. As soon as I opened it up, it was COLD and the cheese was NOT melted in any shape or form. The bread was overly toasted and both parts had burnt places all over the outside. I took a few bites and was not impressed! How can a burger with extra cheese be so cold when it just came out and was taken to a vehicle a few steps away? The grilled mushrooms, onions and jalapeños should have at least warmed up the cheese, but nope! I gave this place a shot for the very first time since the one I was going to has been in Boone, NC. That location has always been consistent and delicious. I was so annoyed and unimpressed with the service. I don’t understand. Just wasn’t a good burger all around and the food wasn’t cheap!
