Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Customer service experiences varied widely, with some praising friendly staff while others reported unprofessional behavior and long wait times.
Food Quality
Food quality was inconsistent, with reports of cold, overcooked, or improperly prepared items, alongside some positive mentions of fresh and tasty meals.
Order Accuracy
Many customers experienced issues with incorrect orders, leading to frustration and disappointment.
Cleanliness
The restaurant was noted for being clean, but some customers reported issues with drink machines and overall maintenance.
Speed of Service
Numerous reviews highlighted slow service, particularly in the drive-thru, with long wait times being a common complaint.

I am an absolute nut when it comes to Whataburger. Before they they to Tn I had a 5hr drive to the nearest one. Yes I’ve made that drive before. This one is by far the best I’ve been to. Everything was clean and in order. Service was fast even though we had to wait for fresh wings (happy to wait for fresh food). The flavor of the month milkshakes are always the best. Burgers were fresh and delicious as always. Definitely a treat to get here when I’m in town.

They put rotten egg on my biscuit and I was sick for 2 days. My biscuit was overcooked on the bottom and they didnt even give me the jalapeño biscuit with hunny butter I asked for. Nasty.

Went through the drive-thru tonight and was very pleasantly surprised by the welcoming and very friendly attitude by the cashier at the window. I didnt catch her name, but she had blue tips in the end of her hair. Keep it up, girl!!
