We love coming here because of the many unique menu options, including the drinks! I love that there are hot and cold options, as well as caffeinated and decaf, alcoholic or non. I am obsessed with the Berry Bolt Energizer. Emma S. was our bartender and she did a fantastic job.

Just left from eating here. Today was my husband and I second time coming. Gretchen S. was our server. She gets 0 stars from me. My husband and I both ordered scrambled eggs, etc. Food finally came out. My husband’s eggs were scrambled, mine wasn’t. When I placed my order, I explained to Gretchen how I wanted my eggs, not runny or hard/overcooked. Only medium scrambled! They were not scrambled, just hard/overcooked. I sent them back. Lo and behold, second plate of eggs brought by Gretchen was the exact same. I looked at my husband’s eggs and another table’s eggs and noticed theirs were scrambled. To top it off, when we were ready for the ticket, Gretchen saw that I did not eat those eggs and never asked or said one thing about them. She simply did not care! She’s lucky my husband gave her a $2.00 tip because she didn’t deserve that! Our first time eating here, the food and service were amazing. I guess it all depends on your server. It’s gonna be a while before we eat here again. ~Kristie C.

Emma S was our service this afternoon and she was the absolute sweetest. She was quick while still being very polite even when the kitchen forget things off of our order she had no issue with fixing it. She also recommended the churro donuts which hands down are some of the best donuts I have ever had the pleasure of tasting!! Food was absolutely delicious too and not too expensive!! Only $37 for me and my partner!

This is the second (and last) The Toasted Yolk Cafe that we’ve eaten at. The first experience (Pearl, MS) left little to be desired as our food was either cold or poorly prepared. We were hopeful this experience would be different since this restaurant has such high reviews, but those hopes were destroyed. Like last time, the hash brown casserole was cold and very black peppery. I was prepared not to like it due to the overwhelming black pepper flavor, but I was disappointed when it came out completely cold. However, my disappointment with the hash brown casserole was nothing compared to the hollandaise sauce on my eggs benedict that was broken and curdled. I did not eat anything on my plate other than the first bite of hash brown casserole. My daughter ordered the kids pancakes, but they were gummy and tasted very strongly of artificial vanilla, so we ordered some toast for her to eat instead. My husband got the brisket tacos and hash brown casserole. His hash brown casserole was also cold, so much so that the queso on top was solidifying. The brisket tacos had way more bacon in them than brisket, including several pieces of undercooked fat. One positive thing stayed consistent, the toast was good.
