  Two weeks ago my husband and I chose to go to toasted yolk for our two year anniversary! We were very disappointed. Our waistress was worse than any we've ever had. Talk, long black wavy hair and glasses. 1st our drink order took forever! So we decided to order our food instead of waiting. It took our food a little longer than expected. Mind you it was not busy at all. Our waitress never checked onnus one time! We finally got her attention to ask for to go boxes and our check. Literally took another 15 minutes. Then shevstill forgot our check. My husband has never ever done this but he did not tip her. He talked about it all the way home. Just disappointed in our visit today.

  I had breakfast at the Toasted Yolk yesterday and here's my honest review. The staff was great, especially our waitress. I don't remember her name, but she had long coin rows. She was super sweet and courteous. The place was busy so it wasn't spic and span, but it was clean enough. Finally, the food. MID. Where is the seasoning? I had a pancake (which was delicious and moist), an omelette with meat and onion, and hash brown casserole. The omelette had no flavor and the HB casserole ain't got nothing on Cracker Barrel's. It's giving poor imitation. My dining partner had avocado toast, eggs over easy, and hash brown casserole and she said the same. Where is the flavor? I would eat there again to try other things, but only if Sunrise is closed. Now that I've tried this place for myself, I'm side-eyeing Big Tae. LOL.

  Love this place! My bestie and I frequent it often. We used to go all over for brunch but now find ourselves coming here most of the time now. The shrimp and grits are phenomenal. I also love the classic toasted yolk meal, and the fried chicken arnold is just so good. My friend gets the bloody every time, and I eat the accompaniments!! Our servers have always been friendly! A note on the hashbrown casserole is that it's pretty oniony. To me, this is excellent but not if you're used to plain hashbrown casserole.

  * 20 hours ago Worst experience ever. Joined the waitlist on a 20-30 min wait that turned into an hr and some change. Witnessed the POOR COMMUNICATION host who would WHISPER peoples name when their table was ready & then cancel them when they couldn't hear her whisper, allow a party that arrived after our table and the table after us, INTIMIDATE her into skipping both OUR party & the party behind us, seating them immediately. When I questioned her about it she looked me dead in my face & lied stating it was a smaller party than ours, when it wasn’t . I Asked to speak with her manager whom was this young, overwhelmed man whom didn't have much of a response or apology for this poor behavior except for they are "short staffed". Food has potential & the service after we were seated was mid but that FIRST, YOUNG, UNINTERESTED, NONCHALANT, FACE (hostess) that receives you & guides you, is going to be the source of MANY displeased paying customers.

  DO NOT EAT HERE! I had a terrible experience at toasted yolk. Our waitress was stoned out of her mind and sat my girlfriend and I without a greeting. It took three tries for us to get the right drinks that were then never refilled. The food came out lukewarm and flavorless, except for the grits which were spiced overwhelmingly with black pepper. The peach cobbler French toast was just soggy toast with microwaved canned peaches with no brown sugar or cinnamon. The biscuits and gravy were good besides the fact out waitress didn't tell the cook no onions and danced around telling us she would have the kitchen remake it like a child. Overall, the food was overpriced and unsatisfying, the waitress was unbelievably unprofessional, and there was Fox News playing on two of the tvs so automatic negative atmosphere.
