  Due to some weird staffing shortage situation, the restaurant was closed, so we sat at the bar to eat our lunch. So not particularly comfortable, especially since the bar is in the lobby and we had a lot of comings and goings happening behind us. The bartender was friendly, and reasonably competent. The establishment seems to have some kind of marketing agreement with Southern Comfort (the booze), so it was not entirely clear whether menu items with "Southern Comfort" in their names had to do with the name of the establishment or the name of an ingredient. My wife had the Low Country Wedge Salad. We both like a good wedge salad, and this certainly qualified. This one, instead of the more typical diced tomatoes had sliced apricots. I think having that change in the fruit portion of the salad is a nice change-of-pace. (BTW, I can't imagine why more restaurants don't offer a Wedge Salad, because there are approximately no materials or labor costs involved in putting it on a plate, but it does require an excellent blue cheese dressing.) I had the Slow-Smoked Pulled Pork with Southern comfort BBQ Sauce. I thought that the pork and sauce were decent, but not outstanding. The fries were the style with a coating that allows a restaurant to make them crispy if they don't know how to make crispy fries. I enjoyed them well enough, though I have been pretty much disappointed with the state of French Fries everywhere I've been in Tennessee, with a singular exception. We ended with the Southern Comfort Beignets, which were good enough, but nothing like some of the better beignets we've had. All in all, an OK place to eat if you are staying at the resort and don't feel like driving into town for something better.

  Fried Green Tomatoes came out burned. Very little pimento cheese but a pile of jam. Sent them back and were told they even set a timer to make sure they came out that way. Only three per order. Would pass Partner ordered the salmon. Guess what? Overcooked. The salmon plank was black along with the edge of the fish. Salmon should be a lovely pink, not gray like tuna from a can. Smoked Old Fashioned was awesome. Chicken wings were OK. Would not call them jumbo. Gave them a 2nd chance 2 days later. Matthew Hickey, from Nashville, was singing with his acoustic guitar. Very talented, don't miss him. He said he is there every Tuesday. 2nd try on Fried Green Tomatoes, excellent. Asked waiter to make sure they were not burnt. The $38.00 sirloin steak was the toughest piece of meat I have ever been served. Had to treat it like London Broil (was cooked perfectly medium rare) and had it the next day for breakfast. Their sides are spectacular. Biscuits brought a tear to a Country Boy's eye. Collards seasoned right. Red Beans and Rice were perfect again. Mac and Cheese on the dry side. Wife got Chicken Fried Steak, just like Cracker Barrels (but twice the price). My poor Northern girl was taken back by the gray meat inside. Had to explain it was actually correct. We want to see Matthew Hickey again but are running out of entrees for next try. Yes, he was that good.

  Service and ambiance was good, food was hit and miss. Some things were good, some things not so good. I would think if they could raise the quality of food in this restaurant it might help them sell more units.

  The food is not what they say it is sometimes where the salad didn't have the real homemade croutons and the mashed potatoes are not made with real potatoes the ice cream is not homemade

  We had fantastic service from our waitress, Jordan! She was friendly and very attentive. Having a great waitress can make or break your evening out. She made ours a wonderful experience.
